@dsa_tw Great question! Pennsylvania is situated in the Appalachian Mountains, which is where salamanders first evolved. Therefore, this region has more salamander diversity than anywhere else in the world.
@AmyTeamBre@herpetALLogy It's pretty hard to tell. Generally, females tend to be larger, but that's not a great metric to use. I'm not aware of any reliable ways to tell with toads outside of their mating season.
