@FrerinTheFierce “Half the time you are anything -but- ‘right and proper’ Frerin.” The lass reminded him with a stern scowl crossing over her rigged features, eyes sharp.
Perhaps treating him as s punching bad would be in her best interests after all...
"Rrrraaaugh!" With a sharp whistle, a short handled axe was thrown through the air, embedding itself into the wood of one of the tall oaks with a sickening thud.
Grunting, she prowls over and yanks it from the tree, marching away and readying to throw it again.
@FrerinTheFierce « perfectly content in letting my brother entertain and execute his desires in courting your -younger- sister then?"
With a brow raised, she folds her arms beneath her breast and turns to face him properly.
@FrerinTheFierce "By masquerading around as a commoner, as I recall." She said in a clipped, faintly humored tone. "You and your royal ass."
She stopped her brisk stride for a moment, glancing at him from over her shoulder. "Am I to believe you are »
@FrerinTheFierce « with commoners? Our friendships are frowned upon enough as is, but with my brother's appetites he will have us banished for his games. Or worse, say he wins her heart and becomes a royal himself."
She squares up the Durinson. "Then I »
@FrerinTheFierce + not in the business of making friends easily. That she had somehow befriended two of the royals was still a baffling mystery to her.
Her frustration was over her brother’s sudden keen interest in the Raven-Haired Durin lass.
@FrerinTheFierce “Off trying to court your sister, no doubt.” She said with a sharp edge to her tone.
She loved her brother, but he had a habit of toying with Dwarves women. Kisses on the hand, roguish winks as he walks past. And Víri has grown fiercely protective of Dís...
And Víri was +
@FrerinTheFierce “I seek no escape.” Says she, brushing past another low hanging branch. “I sentenced you to your peril, my dear Frerin, do you not remember? You are doomed to wonder.”
@FrerinTheFierce The golden haired shield maiden glances over her shoulder to the other, a cool look taking her features, and open mouthed smirk setting in. “I should hope so, Frerin. You are a terrible liar.”
@FrerinTheFierce Letting the matter rest for the time being, the young maiden carried onward. She could not expect him to be direct with her when she herself wilfully elected to keep the cause of her frustration to herself.
"Then I fear there will be blood. You have cost us our ale, Frerin."
@FrerinTheFierce "That is unusually sagacious of you." She called back over her shoulder. "But it's still a fib, Frerin."
Lifting an arm, she brushed a few of the lower hanging branches back as she moved past them.
@FrerinTheFierce "So. Put words to it." She says, voice thick and words blunt. She takes a few paces back from the warrior, turning to begin the trek through the surrounding trees.
@FrerinTheFierce She most certainly did not - as was plainly evident in the monotonous look that swept her rugged features at his fib. "Is there an axe or arrow protruding from my head that has you thinking I would believe that?"
@FrerinTheFierce That seemed to soften the edge of the Shield Maiden's former fury, and she stopped entertaining the idea of using Frerin as a |ᴘ̶ᴜ̶ɴ̶ᴄ̶ʜ̶ɪ̶ɴ̶ɢ̶ ̶ʙ̶ᴀ̶ɢ̶| sparing partner.
For now.
"What are you doing here? Are you not meant to be off with Víli for a hunt?"
@FrerinTheFierce She gave him a wary look, slowly prying the axe fro his gasp, and tucking it handle first into her belt. "I'll slay an orc with you, Frerin, and I'll drink at your side."
She folds her arms. "But I'll chop of your arm if you lay a hand on my hair."
@FrerinTheFierce The woman scowled at him, reaching for her axe. "And I suppose after my confessions, we shall then proceed to braid one another's hair?"
@FrerinTheFierce There were times when nothing would pleasure her more than to wipe that smirk of his off his face.
Lifting the axe, she grunts, letting it fly again, embedding itself aggressively into the tree, this time at eye level.
"I'm afraid you shall have to keep wondering, Frerin."
@FrerinTheFierce Silver-sage coloured eyes covered in the frost of frustration looked up to see the familiar face the middle Durinson.
"I am not in a gaming mood, Frerin." Said the shield maiden, readying her axe.
