“I never thought in a million years that I would live in a time of a pandemic. Walking into the hospital now is surreal... Anxiety sets in as I approach the entrance, just wondering if I am protected enough with the PPE.”

“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

WHY NURSING?
As a Nurse, I can put into words that I am caring
As a Nurse, preaching is a big part of my teaching
As a Nurse, I act too, by advocating for you.
As a Nurse, I cry with every loss. But I make sure that I cared for you the most.
As a Nurse, I am the boss.
WHY NURSING?
Nursing is tiring, just go clubbing
Why not Engineering, and don't worry about documenting
Why not a Teacher, and be a preacher
Why not acting, and never get tired of gurney steering
Why can't be a boss, and don't deal with any loss...
Curious how to spend some time this long weekend? Why not check out the amazing work of #emergencymedicine professionals across the country! Including beautiful paintings and photography, Volume 13 has just been launched!

We are proud to be hosting @FromFrontline on our website. Sharing a collection of #art and #stories created by frontline medical workers to showcase the experience of healing a community during the #COVID19#pandemic, many by those in #emergencymedicine.

Around the globe, front line medical workers are hailed as the heroes of this age. We are praised for risking our own health to treat our patients during this crisis. Though we are grateful for the recognition, the risk need not be so great... Protect your heroes.
It’s easy to feel isolated during these long weeks of social distancing. Small tokens of community support can be the most reinvigorating moments of our day.
