[A brief introduction to my debut novel: Arcadia] #sciencefiction#dystopian#cyberpunk
"Legends say that long ago, great architects built the world-city. Some believe they were so mighty they once ruled the stars."
"Our oldest records tell us that they were the ones who created Arcadia, our home. The last of the Great Mobile Habitats. The only safe haven beneath this toxic, derelict world. They built it to last, but nothing lasts forever."
"We are three thousand souls, trapped inside thirty thousand tons of moving steel. Lost and alone in the dark.”
“This is our story."
@Tanukichi_mingo Maybe one out if ten will sometimes carry a firearm. But it varies depending on the state. Some states have different cultural expectations
@tagame I think the sentiment is endearing, but there's probably some context that's missing in translation. To say we would love to see Japan join us is like saying 'we consider Japan family'. The idea of Annexation is unthinkable. We chose NOT to do that 81 years ago.
@ankoromochuu American collages are indoctrination institutions that poison our youth. Its not like that in normal America. We are trying to resolve this cancer.
@learning_yohei Americans tend to be very large physically. Larger bodies means larger calories requirement each day. Fir example, a blue collar construction worker can burn over 5000 calories a day. So these factors can compound.
@obduleo@AgingAnarchist Oh I see. In America, the Japanese term 'Anime' has developed the meaning to be a form of high art far above most other forms of conventional animation. This term has came about only in the last 30 years due to the golden age of anime in the US from the 1980s and 1990s.
