For all my #folkhorror enthusiast friends. I was wondering if any of you have read the Merrily Watkins books by Phil Rickman. There was quite a good tv mini series based on the 2nd book Midwinter of the Spirit. Well worth checking out if you can track it down.

Looking forward to this, the book was pretty damn disturbing. Hopefully they'll get round to The Loney and Devil's Day. Andrew Michael Hurley really is the master the low key folkloric sinister. His stories stay with you long after the final page has been turned.

#thegallowspole was not what I expected, quite the the departure from thebook, but I have to say highly enjoyable @ShadyMeadows really did the story proud I thought. I hope we see more as I feel this almost acts as a prequel of sorts to the novel. Here's to a second series 🍻
