@KamilKosno@P24576512@deirdreheenan I mean 10% off a family bucket of chicken in kfc really makes that pay worth it doesn't it. Not sure what all the grumbling is about myself
“In one of the most notable moments in sports history, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped thinking he had completed the race.
A Spanish athlete, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him, and after realizing what was happening, he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running; but Mutai didn't understand his Spanish.
Fernandez eventually caught up to him and instead of passing him, he pushed him to victory.
A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?"
Ivan replied, “My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win.” The journalist insisted “But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win.” The journalist insisted again, “But you could have won!”Ivan looked at him & replied, “But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of that medal?
What would my Mom think of that?”
Values are transmitted from generation to generation.
What values are we teaching our children?
Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways to WIN.”

@fesshole I actually used to do this to my boss who had every other Monday off. He would laugh so I thought he understood. Turns out he didnt and he was laughing because he saw how much joy i had saying it and thought it was amusing 😬
@7_StarGirlx@mrjakehumphrey@sascampaigns Spanners are due to work being carried out so they have disabled alerts. Snowflakes are due to time of year they don't monitor
6y.o saw @davidwalliams new book and was excited he had enough for it. These books are the main reason he started enjoying reading. Well worth picking up

sounds like a lot, i agree. but let’s do the math.
$75 - $24 in yarn = $51
$51 - roughly $12 in shipping and packaging = $39
$39 / 7 hours of labor = about $5.57 an hour i’m paying myself to make one snood 🌚
stop questioning why handmade items cost what they do. i beg you.
@sophwith7es Don't like the man BUT if owen asked it would have been sweet he was still hungry. + lets not forget how owen managed not to miss one of his balls in the tub... At least matt has been a team player in the camp. Owen is greedy abd selfish
