In bringing FG forward it will be important to design the spaces between the buildings in a way so they can be enjoyed by all whilst also affording an attractive sustainable solution to combating any flood water from the Frome
FG is aiming to be Bristols first climate resiliant development and we have been looking at the designs of other new communities from around the world that have sought to address flood risk in an attractive and practical way...

Pleased to see Frome Gateway in St Judes highlighted in newly re-elected Mayor of Bristol @MarvinJRees manifesto:
“Build innovative and low carbon homes through investing in sustainable regeneration in places such as.....Frome Gateway”

Come and hear what people have said about the area so far, share your views, get involved and stay in touch. Please email [email protected] to register interest.
As we emerge from lockdown it’s likely that we shall continue with further community meetings. We are in the early stages of how the area surrounding the River Frome (Danny) can be improved as regeneration takes place over the next 5-10 years.
@Joe_then_W @BristolCycling@jensmithbristol@sandyhruthven Perhaps tress could be planted to stop cars parking there and parking could be accommodated in a better way elsewhere (albeit Cabot Circus car park is opposite...)
We need to be more bold & visionary in our #partnerships. Getting on with the process efficiently & quickly is key to delivery. Housing schemes can be vanilla, we need to bring out regional variances & foster low & zero #carbon developments says @GavinBridgeUK @SpatiaUK
Our panel closes with the following remarks: we must move away from creating smaller #housing that’s not a way out of the crisis. It’s all about the spaces between #buildings, creating homes and not units, and disruption in the #procurement process
Thank you to @GavinBridgeUK@JoDavis_Bristol@housingpaul @ExeterCX & Kate Ives for yesterday’s thoroughly insightful panel discussion on the importance of #partnerships. We’ve received great feedback from attendees. Our next event is tomorrow & all about #socialhousing delivery
