Angry. Distressed. Ashamed. Guilty. Disgusted. All emotions we've felt this week.
But feeling is not enough. It’s the start. Action is what really matters. (1/4)
I've just heard that 430 parents donated their 15% course discount back to @NCTcharity in recent weeks, giving us £16,000 to support our Infant Feeding Support Line … isn't that incredible? The generosity of people at this time is simply astonishing!
We’ve launched a trial of a new digital support service for expectant and new parents through #COVID19, in partnership with @peppy_health and @LCGB1994 and funded through #Techforce19.

@danjolley01@babydrclaire@DrNickTwit@DrRoseM @PaedsGRH @RCPCHtweets Thank you for this. I have just shared this information on our social media and getting a great response. So many worried parents not sure what they should be doing. I hope the message can be spread as widely as possible.
@salhogg In Somerset health visitors have announced they are only doing face to face appointments in "extreme" circumstances. All regular clinics and checks have been put on hold. We have real concern about the physical and mental health of new families.
@DrAnnaPease Today we also had broken eggs, sand in the kitchen, soil dug out of a planter, felt pen all over the table, dvd boxes emptied and ricecrispies everywhere 😭
The brilliant Maureen Minchin has made her book Milk Matters available for free download. Yes. FREE download. If you want to know more about the impact of milk feeding upon health and wellbeing, including across generations, you must read this!

@DrAnnaPease @MichaelRosenYes James and William love Rabbit foo foo. James loves shouting goonies and William loves bopping people on the head. Get well soon Michael ❤
@makesmilk@chirembawa Oh yes my 18 month old is over the moon that I am apparently an all day buffet. Started leaking milk again and to be honest getting a bit sore due to lazy latch. Any resources on improving toddler latch?!
@babylifeline@RCObsGyn@MidwivesRCM I have been told of a case where a partner was not allowed in theatre despite niether parent showing any covid symptoms.
@birthrightsorg have heard of a woman being refused any birth partner despite partner being healthy with no symptoms. This is in South London. What is the current advice?
@sara_out_west@Dr2NisreenAlwan This is something we have been made aware of as well and we are extremely worried about pregnant NHS workers being pressured to continue in high risk situations.
@Boo88Izzy @_MarsLord @ChelwestFT@birthrightsorg@AIMS_online@RUHBath @doulauk Yes the freestanding birth centres will allow two but not the RUH. A local doula has just been turned away from the RUH despite the birthing woman having a complex case and desperate for doula support.
