❗I was attacked tonight.

Why? Because I asked for $500 (£407) per month to support myself here in Ukraine.

I’ve been told it’s not worth it, that Ukraine has Ukrainian volunteers, so why do they need me? For me to GO HOME.

Yes if they work 16 hour days, 7 days per week without pay, that's slavery.

Even slaves got lodging (poor) and food (not great), volunteering offers none of that.

Yes every Patreon donor knows what they give and I often publish my Patreon earnings on Twitter, you can search and find many posts on the subject, I can share some with you if you wish.

Unfortunately I don't think we will ever agree if you believe it your heart of heart someone dedicating 480 hours per month, around $1 per hour is taking advantage of Ukraine.

Just to give you context, through our volunteer efforts we have destroyed half a BILLION dollars in russian equipment, I understand you think I should leave this country and just let Ukrainians volunteer but I will never abandon my family or soldiers.

On a side note I don't think Ukrainians should work for years for free, they have to pay for their rent and food, it is unrealistic to force Ukrainians into slave labour because there is a war on, many of our volunteers are from abroad and volunteer during their holidays/annual leave, if you want to come volunteer with us you are very welcome, Tim, I and the volunteer team take zero in salary or anything from donations (as shown in our reporting), my Patreon averages $550 per month (£407) if you think that is absurd and extravagant then I can't please you.
