Thread: What is counterpoint? You've probably heard the term before. It's two or more musical lines or voices in the same key that blend together harmonically, yet have independent rhythms and melodies. Counterpoint means point against point or note against note.
@KingHailthe@251skeeter@Shabbosgoy What's his long term plan for them? Antifa, welfare recipients, "activists," and criminals aren't known for being timely with their rent payments or keeping the property clean. Unless he plans to hold them there so they don't go to the suburbs for housing.
@tsn_says@LlamaSusan@Dingwall77 The homes people get evicted from could end up being bought up en masse by wealthy landlords. This would prevent people from building a source of home ownership equity.
I don't think the elites worked out what to do with millions of angry, desperate newly homeless though...
@genxmex How many billions were lost by businesses being shut down and people losing their jobs? How many relationships and friendships didn't happen because of this? How many people fell into the claws of addiction because they felt hopeless? The people behind the COVID fraud are evil.
@billglahn The "cash cushion" the wealthy have shields them from the disastrous social policies they push for a long time. How can defund the police be bad if they aren't hurt? For the more sadistic among them, it becomes a way to destroy the middle class and eliminate potential rivals.
@billglahn It's done the opposite of creating equity. Poor black neighborhoods descend into chaos while wealthy white ones remain untouched (for now). Kids in Linden Hills in Minneapolis and Chicago's Lincoln Park don't get shot. Kids in North Minneapolis and Englewood in Chicago do.
@Shabbosgoy It reminds me of a quote I read years ago in an article about the fall of communism in Hungary.
"One year ago, if you asked people on the street if they supported communism, they would all answer yes. Now, you cannot find a single communist in the country! Astounding!"
DHS Intel brief obtained @CBSNews "Commemoration of Tulsa Race Massacre Probably an Attractive Target for Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremist-White Supremacists." NOTE: Underlying intel “we lack specific or credible reporting that violent extremists are planning..
@_RoughCountry I hope your dad's procedure goes well and the biopsy comes back without concerns. I know from reading your twitter that you are close to your parents, and that's a blessing for you and them to have strong bonds that hopelessness and despair cannot break through.
@nathanmhansen Perhaps we could find a segment of black Americans who are scared of the Black Panthers and introduce them to Biden at the White House for a photo op.
@nathanmhansen It always entertains me that upper class white liberals have a far greater compulsive wariness of white supremacist terrorism than blacks in the rural deep south.
NEW: docs obtained by @FreeBeacon show Biden admin ending MPP and hinting towards rescinding Title 42 — a key COVID-era protection that allowed border officials to turn away migrants who may carry disease

@ScottMGreer Look at the folds still present on the flag! That's hilarious. They didn't even bother to iron it to get the folds out before putting it up. Just straight out of the package.
Our best and brightest indeed.
@nathanmhansen@GovTimWalz This is extremely well done. It was a good idea to intersperse quotes from studies on the effects of masks and the low death rate kids have from COVID. The quality of these pro-freedom groups who've sprang up in MN in 2020-21 will be useful in pushing back on Walz and co.
@Dingwall77@RevTChristopher@nathanmhansen The state is our god now, and unlike the age-old Bible, it can shift its texts (laws, public statements, emergency orders, etc.) around on a whim to implement what it wants at the moment. It has no lasting heritage. Its emptiness is reflected in the emptiness people feel today.
Great article about the reality of homeless camps and why liberal permissiveness fails them.
"The real reason why the encampment inhabitants refuse to access the shelters is simple — the shelters have rules. One rule, in particular... that drugs and drug use are prohibited."
If @EducationMN forces mask on YOUR kid this Fall, unenroll them immediately. It's up to YOU to take a stand. They get $10k per student. Defund public education. See how that works for them. Probably won't work out so well. Think about it, YOU are in control. What will you do?
@tsn_says COVID exposed this painfully. Restaurants were given little advance warning about shutdowns and had to throw out entire food stocks. Businesses had to spend money on plexiglass, sanitizer, and stand 6 feet apart and wear a mask signs. These expenses yielded no return or benefit.
@tsn_says Another good question is how many politicians have spent half their working years or more in the private sector? You don't need to be concerned about managing costs or adhering to an exact budget. Taxes can be raised and bailouts can occur. Businesses don't have those options.
@Shabbosgoy@ImperialLuis1 Makes sense. Agriculture and the trade of surplus grain fueled Egyptian civilization's rise.
Cats also have the ability to immobilize humans by sitting down on their laps and curling up. Have you ever heard of anyone refusing to get up because a dog sat on their lap? Only cats.
