@Zenithhorizons2@Rainmaker1973 BF109 series had a 15-30mm cannon firing through the hub, size depending on variant. Most, if not all had smaller 7.92 or 13mm that was on top of the engine cowling, requiring syncronization. Early variants had machineguns/cannons embedded in the wings also.
@GunloverClub1 There are old videos of Finnish conscripts doing this out of boredom, another style to reload that is to smack it stock first to a tree or the ground really hard... worked well with the milled recievers
@JeffreySla63359@GhettoCode@PTrubey the problem it self isn't that complicated, heat needs a sink, sink needs a radiator to get rid of the heat, the material requirements for big heatloads on the otherhand, is what's a big problem, also transfering the heat from the source to the radiators effectively poses another
@ri_not_ri@brialerus The thing in this war, is that for Ukraine is existential... This means that you don't stop fighting, nearly everybody in Ukr is aware of what Russians would do to them if they stop fighting. Surrender is not an option, only way to survive this russian genocide is to fight on.
@RealJakeBroe Jake, that's a bad excuse. When I was in service (in Finland) we asked why do we learn to march in unison if it benefits no-one, the answer was: If you can't learn to march, how the hell do you expect to learn how to fight.
This is laughable and inexcusable.
@Matt_M_Bennett@HumansNoContext Well... you could argue that a motorcycle helmet works both ways, your helmet hits concrete, then you head hits the inside of the helmet... the material deforms on the inside to dissipate the energy..
