@ibmmiller I was about 10 when I first read the book and saw the film. I enjoyed the book way more even though I also liked the film. As an adult, I still have the same overall opinion. I would add that I enjoy the book even more than I did before now
This man probably got (and will get) a ton of racist hate directed at him. But that being said, the story will do him a disservice because Snape's character and story (specifically his childhood) get really uncomfortable with a casting that changes the race of the character.
Please leave things alone. No one wants this or needs this. If you want to tell other stories in Middle Earth, there are way better options to choose from. But I would be leery of that too because one season of Rings of Power butchering everything was more than enough.
A sequel movie to the ‘LORD OF THE RINGS’ trilogy is officially in the works.
Plot synopsis — 14 years after the passing of Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin set out to retrace the first steps of their adventure. Meanwhile, Sam’s daughter, Elanor, has discovered a long-buried secret and is determined to uncover why the War of the Ring was very nearly lost before it even began.
Stephen Colbert is co-writing the script.
Simu Liu says Asian representation in Hollywood remains "f*cking appalling."
“Put some Asians in literally anything right now. The amount of backslide in our representation onscreen is f*cking appalling. Studios think we are risky... No Asian actor has ever lost a studio even close to 100 million dollars but a white dude will lose 200 million TWICE and roll right into the next tentpole lead. We’re fighting a deeply prejudiced system. And most days it SUCKS.”

@ibmmiller I really like the trilogy (even with its flaws), but I absolutely hate Faramir initially electing to send the hobbits to Gondor and the Frodo and Sam argument. Really bad changes.
John Boyega was asked what he would do if he could remake the #StarWars Sequel Trilogy
“It would be mad. First of all, we’re not getting rid of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, all these people. We're not doing that. The first thing we're going to do is fulfill their story, fulfill their legacy. We're going to make a good moment of handing on the baton"
"Luke Skywalker wouldn't be disappearing on a rock ... Hell no. Standing there and he's, like, a projector? I would want to give those characters way more way more"
"Our new characters will not be overpowered in these movies. They won't just grab stuff and know what to do with it... No. You've got to struggle like every other character in this franchise"
"I'd look to the Old Republic stories. And see what we can add to the continuation of that. I would definitely want to see Force Unleashed stories in there. I would try to expand the Star Wars universe as much as possible while respecting the lore. If we're expanding the lore, we have to do it in within the respective boundaries that stay true"

@ibmmiller This guy is just farming interactions, but sadly this type of attitude is becoming more common. Especially among the younger generations and with people in tech. The inevitable conclusion of such actions is going to be horrific
This is one of the main reasons I love the character so much. Life isn't fair, and one of the best skills to have is staying level and focused and persevering through it all.
@ibmmiller I don't know much about the article, but I read one book by Scalzi a few years ago and wasn't impressed. Haven't gone back and tried any other of his books since
@ibmmiller Yeah, definitely deserves a longer conversation! I do hope we get more seasons of Audio Adventures and Harley specifically. Justin Hartley finally gets to play Batman in the latter!
