It speaks to breadth & surgical precision of PBC collectors.

I won Lamine Yamal WC Prizm Gold 10/10 at $75k edging out cryptopunk yesterday.

@MetaverseLuka got 4T ape atop of all ethereum NFT projects* today.

Collectors collect and have themselves a couple of days.

3356k/34=$98.7k.

So as long as a Prizm Gold copy each of Messi + Yamal + Ronaldo + Mbappe + Haaland exceeds $100k, the above cards for those 5 guys alone will exceed the product revenue.

I think they will easily exceed that.

There are
- many great players (checklist of 499 guys in the base set)
- other cards (base parallels, inserts)
- other value creation mechanism such as rainbow challenges, animal + floral pack crafting which elevates other cards’ value without them needing to be intrinsically value.

Moreover,
- great world cup moments can increase value sharply
- record can set chain reaction
- more new hobbyists add more demand.

So this product is hugely ev+, great timing and highly anticipated.

Secondary for both FOTL and hobby packs will be insane.

- Prizm Black 1/1 (50/64 =78% chance to hit at hobby packs, same goes below if omitted)
- Nebula 1/1 (FOTL-exclusive/F-e)
- Old glory /7 (F-e)
- Maple Leaf /9 (F-e)
- Águila /11 (F-e)

The above has super rarity and intrinsic desirability and first appearances for 4 of them with meaning/innovation (including first ever nebula 1/1).

- Cracked Ice /25

Some randomly specified cards from above would play a role in completing rainbow/tier challenges to produce further parallels:
- Tiger stripe
- Genesis
- Rattlesnake
- Pink wave
The print runs of last 4 will be capped from mint run of top 4 at start of this section, and pulled population and numbered exactly to tier-completions made, different among players. This will elevate the price of 4 packpulled least rare tiers of cards during live challenges and might be helpful and cheap to complete those sets ahead of time right after drop to auto-complete the challenge. Also checklist for rainbow challenges will be a smaller group. It’s a player focussed release, and 1-2 players per week.

There will be two further liquidity events producing craft packs, from pulls of which further parallels can be found:
Floral craft pack:
- Lotus
- Cherry Blossom
- Plum
Animal skin craft pack:
- Elephant
- Giraffe
Those mints will be predetermined and checklist is also a smaller one. One usually needs to collect certain rarities with certain quantity each, insensitive to players, and burn them to get those packs (before quote fills), and it helps to open some FOTL/hobby packs to have those ammo auto-ready. This often is a way to clean up those cards needed to complete the above challenges post-challenges.

For top/popular players, there could be up to 20 parallels of the base cards when all the events have run its course. There will be 6 animal themes and 4 flower/plant themes.

How one plays this? Whether collecting rainbow/set/team/sub-themes, valuation creating in opportunistic plays (flipping pack, singles, or getting nice cards/packs at relatively low costs via challenges and crafts), trying to enjoy purest hobby via the thrill of trying to pull hits via opening packs, or enjoy the BC innovation in completing challenges/crafts, or a combination of some of the above.

There is no right or wrong answer. It could be a golden opportunity for one to get onboarded to PBC and familiarize with various moving parts of this ecosystem/organism, and enjoy the frictionless/worldwide-instantly-accessible hobby while watching WC, the latter of which is a price trigger as well.

This pattern has been around for Prizm drop of other sports before. The existing community should be familiar with it. But for the newer people, it’s good to understand the logic behind the release, at least at broad strokes and always opportunity to learn each up and close as they roll out, and feel free to ask any questions in the comment. There is no bad or stupid questions.

There should be a couple of X spaces discussing this drop prior to the drop. Likely an IG live for it as well.

Diamond already laid out the full facts/checklist beautifully, so I’m not going to rehash every detail. I linked his post at the bottom.

I'll offer a few thoughts on the bigger picture here.

We saw last fall how one major pack drop can completely change the PBC landscape. Best of NBA packs ripped on resale, coupled with a spend promotion and huge secondary sales, created a massive amount of value for collectors, and helped ignite a much broader move across the platform.

I think this World Cup drop has the potential to be even more important. Much more.

There are two main layers of value creation here:

● Packs are priced well below where the market may value them, creating immediate demand and potential resale upside.

● This is a large drop, but it may also be the deepest hit product PBC has ever released. There are potentially dozens of cards with 6-figure upside, which is incredible given a total retail market cap of under $3.4M
With the World Cup dynamic, some of these cards could fluctuate wildly depending on who actually wins the tournament or performs on the biggest stage. That adds another layer of speculation, strategy, and collector excitement.

I view this as a major liquidity and value-creation event for the entire Panini Blockchain ecosystem. Tack on a spend promo and we’ll see wild price action (Kabooms??? One can dream).

When collectors win, profits don't disappear - they tend to flow into all corners of the marketplace (both packs and singles).
So even if you’re taking a wait-and-see approach on this specific collection or sport, I think the bigger takeaway is that a lot of value may be unlocked across the site - all available right now.

This character has laser beamed eyes à la MAYC. The only one with such a feature among the 32 S1 characters. A nice match with Adam’s iconic PFP.

The left panel is Open User Interface and the right one is PBC’s U/I. The ledger of the right IMO is one of most beautiful presentations in the hobby.

🚨Some update: Now within last 24 hours, there have been eight sales that are $12k+ (6ETH+) on #PaniniBlockchain

6 different buyers and 7 sellers, showing full parity and healthy marketplace.

No Kabooms! So PBC is not Kabooms or Kaputt.

All base parallels* or important set parallels (like LeBron Flawless patch in 50+ only** LeBron Preprizm cards total, and Mahomes anniversary retro to the first year design which I degen’ed).

Let me break it down and curate a bit more:

- The importance of the first sale is that it’s highest NBA standalone sale on chain, or highest non-rookie NBA sale on chain.

- Wemby Prizm Gold RC PBC sale solidifies the recent comp and makes Wemby having highest number (4) of 6 figure sales on chain.

- Yamal Gold FL RC has displayed 50x since release with this sale.

- Clark Prizm Gold sale equalizes the recent Kaboom Gold sale which demonstrates again my theory of (non-consensus) dual anchoring price action.

- Harper sale is highest non-Flagg sale in the rookie class and higher than any Flagg outside a 1/1 and two draft night bookend 1/10 and 10/10.

- LeBron Patch /5 is a gold parallel, and highest preprizm NBA sale on chain ever outside LeBron and Luka debuts.

- Mahomes sale is highest non-memorabilia Flawless sale ever so far.

- Payton is third highest Prizm NFL S1 ever outside Brady and Mahomes and 5th highest sale in S1 Prizm NFL.

NB: *Parallels here means for a fixed design but can have different foil color and rarity level, it allows A1 grail on one end and accessible to more addressable and liquid at the other end.

**For serious chasers on PBC, first fix a player and go through the entire catalog folder by folder, because marketplace can only show listed item or items with offers on (only if you choose displaying those in the filter).
