Testing Tesla's 'Mad Max' mode in rush hour is a rollercoaster. From unprompted lane drifts to surprisingly flawless merges, the software is clearly learningโbut it still requires total focus. Would you trust it in heavy traffic?
There's a mystery car under a silver cover at the Tesla Diner in Hollywood. ๐
Roped off and parked right by the Superchargers, the same weekend the new Roadster is pulling crowds at the Petersen a few miles away.
Cybercab? Something new? Great spot by Brandon.
5 million Teslas a year by 2030.
That's the target Elon set on the Q3 call. It works out to about 13,700 cars every single day, roughly 3x what Tesla delivered in all of 2025.
Model 3 and Model Y get them part of the way. Cybercab at scale out of Giga Texas closes the gap.
Teslaโs current lineup will probably get them part of the way to 5 million vehicles a year by 2030, but meaningful Cybercab scaling is almost certainly required to actually hit the number.
The numbers are going to get pretty insane.
Over 75% of new Teslas in North America sign up for paid FSD at delivery.
Nic nails why: after every FSD trip, a strictly manual car feels like going backward. His 2-minute highway clip makes the case better than any spec sheet.
One drive is all it takes.
Every time I take a trip with @Tesla FSD, I realize I could never go back to a strictly manually driven vehicle.
The only way to understand this is to experience FSD for yourself. It will change your life.
So glad to live in a time where this is possible.
A Tesla's rear camera just cleared a Florida driver in court.
Held at gunpoint in his own driveway and accused of fleeing an unmarked cop car, he had one thing on his side: footage. It showed the lights were visible for only a brief moment. The judge acquitted him, and the officer is off the force.
"I love the car even more now. It saved me from jail time."
Central Florida manโs #Tesla video leads to acquittal, Winter Springs police officerโs resignation.
โThereโs some accountability, finally,โ Kevin Finley told @WESH.
โI love the car even more now, you know? It saved me from jail time,โ he said. @Tesla

The Roadster that flew over a Semi is in an LA museum lobby starting today.
Petersen Automotive Museum. Doors open at 10 AM PT, and it stays through Tuesday, Oct 27.
Four days to see a sub-1-second 0-60 car up close.
Cybercab just got a quiet mode.
Turn it on and the whole screen goes dark, so you can relax or sleep on a late-night ride. Riders can also pull up the rear camera mid-trip now.
No wheel. No driver. No glare.
Tesla now let's you bring up the rearview camera view in the Cybercab during your ride. Sounds like there's also a new quiet mode that makes the whole Cybercab's screen dark if you're just trying to relax, sleep or you don't want the big bright display on at night.
863 driverless Cybercab sightings in Austin in one day.
That's up from 537 the day before, a 60% jump overnight as F1 weekend crowds hit town. 985 total sightings.
Cybercab Spotter keeps the best scoreboard in Austin.
Owning a Tesla is cheaper than you think. Between skipping gas stations, eliminating oil changes, and charging at home for pennies a day, the monthly savings add up fast. Ever calculated how much you'd save by switching to electric?
3.5 million miles. Nobody driving.
Tesla's live Robotaxi counter just passed 3,536,000 autonomous miles, up roughly 140K since Thursday afternoon.
About 3,200 of those came in the last hour alone. Six U.S. cities and counting.
Nic just got his VIN. Ordered in August, delivery in December.
Tesla says it closed Q3 with its biggest passenger-car order backlog in four years.
Demand isn't the problem. Building them fast enough is.
Just received the vin for my new Model 3 order here in Toronto.
Tesla demand is off the charts. I ordered this car on August 19, and delivery is sometime in December. Approximately a 4-month wait.
This car has all the new updates: Black Headliner, Zen Grey Interior, 16โ QHD screen, etc.
A whole lot full of Cybercabs just showed up in North Charlotte.
Gold paint, Cybercab plates, and at least one with a steering wheel fitted, parked at a Tesla service center on the East Coast.
Austin, Colorado, Manhattan, now the Carolinas. The sightings map keeps growing.
Took my @cybertruck in for service at North Charlotte @Tesla and found a lot full of Cybercabs.
Up close the gold finish has a fine sparkle to it. This one even had a steering wheel installed.
Would you ride in one?
