Il suggère (1) qu'il faut en moyenne sept activations de chaque composante d'un contenu pour le maîtriser et (2) que les élèves apprennent à des vitesses étonnamment très similaires, malgré des différences importantes dans leur réussite scolaire.

Cela suggère que les élèves en difficulté n'apprendraient pas nécessairement moins vite, mais n'auraient peut-être pas eu toutes les opportunités d'apprentissage nécessaires à la maîtrise des contenus.
