I've seen a lot of people getting confused about the whole P2P ban situation. Let me tell you this👇👇👇

It's physically impossible to 100% ban P2P — in the world, let alone in Ethiopia.
What the government is trying to do is gradually reduce the impact it has, which honestly makes sense. But the real question is: what is going to replace it? That's a question that will get answered in the next 6–12 months.

Either way, there are two plausible scenarios — A and B.

Scenario A is the Nigerian path. The ban stays, nothing structural follows, and the market moves underground.

Scenario B is the highest +EV outcome — the ban becomes a starting point for licensed alternatives, regulated P2P, and a modern financial framework accessible to anyone.

Ethiopia has a choice, though it would been much better if the general public has a say in this.
