Tim was the first guitar player that I worked with in FTF. His insane metal chops definitely influenced the music we wrote between 2001-2003, as well as my own playing. I never learned to shred like Tim, but I did learn how to do a pinch harmonic thanks to him.
Maybe it could have had a few more blast beats, but calling ourselves a grindcore band without actually playing grindcore is also one of my favourite things.

Today marks 4 years since we released our latest album, "Pleine Noirceur". It's crazy to think that it's already been that long, but time has a way of speeding up the older you get.

"Disgorge Mexico" used to be my benchmark for working on a full length, and I still feel that's the record where we started to sound like FTF, but "Pleine Noirceur" is probably the first time I was able to completely deliver what I was hearing in my head into an album.

Mel will be giving away one of her art pieces at tomorrow's show in Toronto. This piece was part of a collection of decomposing stuffed animals that she created back in 2000.
If you're interested in having it, come see us at the merch table to submit your name.
"I still love doing this. Like just the band, being with my friends. Getting to play some shows once in a while, getting to be creative. I still love this stuff."
Did an interview with Zombitrol Productions ahead of our Toronto & Waterloo shows this coming weekend
