@davidmcw To be fair to the council though with the foresight of who was about to come into the country in large numbers, they probably knew it would just become a haven for foreign gangs drinking and harassing the posh girls walking by every summer.
@DavidDu89452257@Ben_Scallan@fellawrites@griptmedia The thing is those phrases were introduced to weaponise the most vulnerable in society. We’ve seen what those with limited intelligence have done to use this group as a scapegoat, while allowing and encouraging the worst in society to abuse the loopholes it created.
A simple google search shows nearly 50% of Gen Z/millennials live paycheck to paycheck.
The average wage in Ireland has risen to €1000 per week, but only because of high earners.
Farmers are so stretched they had to hold a nationwide protest.
Mark is being very disingenuous.
Irish people spend less than 10% of their household expenditure on groceries. Among Europeans, only those in Ireland and Luxembourg spend so little of their income on food & non-alcoholic drinks, leaving 90% of funds available to cover everything else 🇮🇪

@Nick_Delehanty@JamesOConnorTD@albertdolan_@ryanomeara_td Nick you aren’t dumb so perhaps it’s the benefit of doubt, but what I see here is Fianna Fáil taking its first steps toward the next election. Out with the old in with the new so we can do it all again.
@LeoVaradkar@SineadOS1 Your approval rating would have been far higher had you engaged like this while in government. While we can agree to disagree on issues, at least now you seem human.
@GrainneogDoc There’s no need for anyone to meet. Government is well aware of why different groups have latched onto this protest. The left demand to be provided for, while the right demand that taxes be cut so they can provide for themselves.
@JakeFitzsimons The bottom line is that in order to cut tax, money must either be made or saved elsewhere. No need to break any EU laws. Reduce the range of welfare entitlements, reduce NGO funding, deport anyone who’s been here longer than 2 years without working, etc.
It’s not rocket science.
Farmers are supposed to do the job of the finance minister now apparently.
Reduce funding to NGO’s, reduce social welfare programs, deport foreigners that haven’t worked since arriving, drill for oil and gas, etc.
Stop pretending this country can’t afford tax reductions.
@Nick_Delehanty Vast majority of voters won’t be paying attention to debates between these two. Most voters are too busy working. Debates won’t change anyone’s minds either.
It’s basically the orange order lady vs the woke eviction lady. Orange lady wins in my opinion.
Momma I made it 🥹
This is an emotional milestone for me.
Seeing one million dollars in my account is not about the money itself, it is about what it represents.
I am a first generation Latino who grew up watching my parents work long hours with relentless discipline and grit so my siblings and I could have a better life than they did.
From them I learned that nothing meaningful comes without sacrifice and consistent effort.
Life will test you, it will knock you down, but resilience and discipline are what push you forward.
This milestone is not just for me, it is for them.
It is proof that their sacrifices meant something and that their lessons carried me here.
People talk about luck, but the truth is you create your own luck by showing up every day, staying disciplined when it’s easier to quit, and believing in yourself when no one else does.
I feel blessed beyond words, and I am thankful to God, to my parents, to my wife, and to the journey that shaped me.
I will continue growing this portfolio with the goal of retiring my parents and giving my wife the life she deserves.
That has always been the mission.
One million is not the finish line, it is just the beginning.
Mad to think there’s people out there willing to pay nearly a million over 25 years for these dumps.
Unless nobody is. If they can make it look like they will then they get the mortgage, and over time the bonds fail. We’re quickly heading into the next crash 🙂
Save and wait
€625,000 sticker price, sale price could end up being more. FTB needs 60-70 grand handy for deposit. Mortgage interest over 25 years could be upwards of €300k.
So million in total for a 3bed semi-D, old, not particularly warm or comfortable, and will probably need expensive work done within the first decade.
Don't worry though, "our economy" is doing great! At least it's not the 1980s! Just lay off the frappucinos and you'll be grand! 😉
BREAKING:
Czechia bans communism.
The new law criminalizes the promotion of communist ideology, creating or supporting communist movements as well as using communist symbols in public.
People breaking the law risk up to 5 years in prison.
More kidnappings. Cuffed and dropped on his head.
Locals continue ratting out recruitment offices for the Russians to drone strike.
Ukraine is a failed state, on it’s last legs.
These are scenes of desperation.
