We have been making the most of the sunshine in our @OPAL_CIC OPAL playtimes this week - den building, picnics. camouflage and kayak adventures!

Last Monday, we were invited to participate in the citizenship day at @fulbournprimary in an initiative to expose the children to as many different career paths as possible.

Netball club avoided the rain this week, and the children enjoyed developing their throwing and catching skills.

The staff team had great fun tonight learning to be chasers, beaters, keepers, seekers and snitches as they learned to use the new Quidditch kit. It is going to be a great addition to our PE curriculum.

What a privilege to welcome Mike Dilger @DilgerTV (whom you might recognise from @BBCTheOneShow) to school to share his enthusiasm for the natural world! Year 4 just beat Year 5 by spotting 14 species of bird in the school grounds to Year 5's 13!

Year 5 and Year 6 were privileged today to visit Cambridge Central Mosque and learn about the worship and community engagement that goes on there. Our thanks to @CambCentMosque (and to @Stagecoach_East for our travel there and back!)

Our KS1 classes had a wonderful time visiting the village art festival - ‘Icicles in the Sun’ - this afternoon. The children loved looking at the range of artworks and sharing their thoughts with each other and the adults!

The indefatigable Miss Crowe loves to lead her large group of keen singers each week for choir - here they are practising Home on the Range (and learning some new vocabulary in the process!)

SDC were pleased to support @fulbournprimary recently, constructing the concrete pad for their new outdoor play shed.

This initiative is part of our ongoing CSR efforts led by the project team at The Optic, a scheme for @BritishLandPLC at Peterhouse Technology Park.
