@TalksWTeachers Also, stay focused on the skills that you are trying to develop in the students in the novel. Content is great and fun, but students can understand content on their own if they are taught the skills they need to do it.

@TalksWTeachers Keep the energy up by moving through the book quickly. You can always go back to re-read and analyze, but get the book done. No one needs to be reading Of Mice and Men for 8 weeks. It just kills the novel and the class's enjoyment.
