@JPAdotcom Somebody asked the engineer about it in the Q&A meeting several years ago before the project started. He said that the extra downhill bike lane allows extra space for cars to pull over in the case of emergency. Think it was more about that than vehicular cyclists.

Too many regional roadblocks. In San Diego if you knock down your garage to build an ADU it triggers a requirement to either provide a 20 foot long driveway in front of the new garage or to close the curb cut. That requirement tanked the ADU above garage design we had designed.

@DirtGirl789@acbowen The last presentation I watched weeks before ground was broken spent a large part of the presentation talking about the trees. They should be there. Will take a while before they feel like protection from cars.
