@stevemor123@JakeJK666@AndyPearson68 There were a few bands on the fringes of the punk scene in the 80s where his politics and dress sense would have been accepted
@supertanskiii I imagine that Reform themselves are, just barely, too smart to delegitimise their position in such an overt way. This Daniel Allen is definitely voting for them if a more Nazi affiliated party isn’t available though.
@archetypal1mage@RitaPanahi He was stabbed by a sikh, a group who statistically have low offending rates, but there were some high profile people at the protests screaming about muslims. This murder isn’t connected to the agenda it’s being used for.
@archetypal1mage@RitaPanahi Cool, so let’s all disrespect the wishes of a dead kid’s dad and exploit his death in the name of an unrelated cause. There should be protests against the police incompetence that crushed any slim opportunity for him to be saved. That’s not what the current protests are about.
@RedRum_Frankel@BenGrahamUK@KingBobIIV Singing the national anthem at events is a performative display of loyalty to the country. Taking the knee started as a refusal to participate in such a display then the country isn’t exactly all citizens. When it became something that people do at protests it lost it’s power.
@Katieleighxox@BenGrahamUK In 2020 they could get away with it because they were participating in a trend related to an American thing that didn’t have anything to do with them. If they joined in now they would be acknowledging the incompetence of their colleagues and inviting scrutiny of themselves
@BenGrahamUK Taking the knee started as a deliberate refusal to participate in a politically loaded displays (originally singing the american national anthem at public events). Anti-racist protesters were misusing it in 2020 and it’s being wildly misappropriated now.
@RitaPanahi Also the people who are politicising it are banging on about Muslims when it was a Sikh who killed Nowak, which is inconvenient because Sikhs are usually the token minority who racists claim they like to prove they’re not racist.
@RitaPanahi For context it was a statue of a slave trader built 170 years after he died and over 60 years after Britain abolished slavery. Also Henry Nowak’s father made it clear in his statement that he didn’t want his son’s death used to spread division.
@BakeThePie@dom_lucre It would actually be really funny if there were gender swapped versions of Mario and Luigi (Maria and Louisa?) who were like nice, traditional Italian girls, who in turn had a Waria and Walouisa who were styled like New Jersey trash.
@dom_lucre My first reaction was that we don’t need to see the story of the afterlife of a character who we’ve never met who’s death and absence was an important point of the last two games, but the gameplay looks cool and different to Kratos so maybe the story doesn’t need to be justified
@Hania16836 An open petri dish containing the most potent strain of salmonella ever found, just in case the chicken doesn’t do the job (I assume that was your plan)
@chefsevenn Raw spinach as pictured is fine to bulk out a salad, but if you wilt it with a dangerous amount of butter and some garlic and it becomes a top 5 side dish
@KhanSaba1278 You know what’s more annoying than a kids party being held on a property where kids live? Stupid engagement bait posts that are a slight variation on posts that got a lot pf reviews and replies yesterday.
@JesusIsMyKingX Scientists have discovered a city filled with skyscrapers exactly where there is one in The Avengers movies, this proves that Spider-Man is real.
@tokyo_111 Do what I did - get ran over by a forklift truck, break both legs, get compensation for slightly more than the deposit on the house you want! Probably not the smartest thing to do under American healthcare, and it was painful enough that I’d never do it deliberately…
