@Michael1979 Sorry to harp on about this, but it’s always bothered me how pelican’s were perceived to be so cool in the 90s when those of us that knew them in the early eighties really saw them for what they were. How did they carry it off? I’m wondering if it was a Miami Vice legacy?

@Michael1979 I remember pelicans in the eighties...very average ! If you could show that earlier data as well then the regression to the mean of the pelicans is apparent!
