It's boom times in Pyongyang.
GDP for the DPRK has kicked into a higher gear, and if there's any doubt, you can see that from space that it's getting brighter and brighter at night. https://t.co/wRnCdAveWF
@TheAliceSmith There is no such thing as “magic ground” that makes some places prosperous and some not!
If you teleported the people of Japan to anywhere else, that place would become Japan.
This is also why the majority of nepobabies don't bother anymore with finance/consulting but rather become "founder" straight after graduation, then suddenly "serial entrepreneur" by 27.
They can buy unlimited tickets for status + meaning + more money, with instant recognition from society.
Why grind for 10+ years as an anonymous junior in the corporate world when you can become “Founder & CEO” overnight, speak at niche conferences, appear on your friends’ podcasts, sometimes get on TV thanks to your dad’s connections, then give advice to the young generation on LinkedIn about courage and taking risks.
This might sound a bit sarcastic, but I personally know a ton of these people in Paris and London. They went into entrepreneurship not out of conviction, but because it was the safest, most socially rewarding route available to them, with an entire ecosystem of manufactured success around them: raise from "family and friends", buy some distribution, get a few press articles, acquire a handful of real clients, then do a small acqui-hire into one of the ecosystem's companies and suddenly call yourself an "Ex-founder" or put “Exit to...” in the bio.
There is literally no downside for them. Even failing 5 startups makes them a "repeat entrepreneur" and they can still try a 6th time, and who knows, they might get lucky once, then explain to everyone that failures were part of the journey and that they had this incredible tenacity to keep going through the down moments. It just makes the story better.
The Greater Manchester result showed what Restore Britain can deliver.
The next step is how we maximise the chances of delivering the change Britain needs - it means putting personal differences aside.
That is why today I am making a public offer to Nigel Farage and Reform UK.
The United States stands with the people of Spain, and all Europeans, against this egregious violation of their sovereignty and human rights.
This unacceptable incident is the direct result of the Spanish Government's deliberate efforts to enable and facilitate mass illegal migration into Europe.
We are considering actions to defend Americans at home and abroad from this threat and stand ready to assist other European allies considering similar options.
