National Sorry Day &many still ask βWhy should I apologise?β
Because when you validate the pain of victims the weight becomes less.
Because being compassionate to others speaks to who you are.
I express my sorrow for the pain & trauma ppl have experienced every day.
I see the relief.
I see the pain reduce because they are validated & believed.
When you deny, minimise or ignore pain it festers. It compounds the initial act.
Saying sorry doesnβt mean you are personally responsible itβs means you have empathy. You have kindness and compassion.
When did that become a bad thing?
