@BigMelonArt I know, right? This kinda thing would probably air alongside Ben 10 back in the day.
I wanted to like the meat one, but it feels too… restrained.
Wanted to like Mouthwash too, but that one just made my fight or flight turn on.
@BigMelonArt -The Dracula one was just annoying. Who could follow a show with this guy?
-Might be C, but A for Angel feels like the one with the most lore/story potential.
-Madison and Skyler is the only other one besides Buttons I could see standing with the OG Cartoon Cartoons.
@BigMelonArt@PlayStationPark to suck the fun out of a creative fantasy world and turn it into a dull LOTR-esque world for kids. Give Mutant Crash credit, at least they still somewhat understood the character.
And of course, there’s Skylanders which pushes Spyro to the background.
@BigMelonArt I think that was the main problem- this whole project was definitely full of creative ideas (and Harmony), but… almost all shorts really missed the spirit of BEING a Cartoon Cartoon. Probably why Buttons’ Gamezone is considered the best one. They understood the assignment.
@BigMelonArt I also kinda liked Duck for what it was, but… s’not really a Cartoon Cartoon? Ain’t like kids can vote for it on a Big Pick Weekend, y’know?
But man, I knew Dickman was a hack, but creating a soulless ripoff of Wander? At least everyone else was TRYING to be creative.
@2bad2juju Doesn’t matter even if the media itself shows them as adults, they will dog you because they simply can’t disconnect these characters from being kids.
You can’t win with them, cause they don’t wanna imagine these characters may someday be adults that do adult things.
