This week's Fund Club pick goes out in email in a few hours -- we're raising money for students doing vital #NoTechforICE work on campus.
If you can afford $100 a month and want to support this type of work, join this month's round: https://t.co/XkTxdbfL6j
If you're already in Fund Club, please tell your friends who can afford to join about us! This is a simple and direct way to help out with the ongoing movements for social justice in technology. Send them our site/our tweets! Thank you so much! Everything helps!
@ConMijente We're looking for:
🌟people who want to contribute financially ($100 a month)
🌟causes and organizations, student groups, collectives, protests, awareness campaigns, media projects, etc. who need direct community funding!
More info here: https://t.co/qTiDHyXHjz
In the past 3 months we've funded:
- Organizers working on the #NoTechforICE campaign (non-profit @ConMijente)
- the CMU Against ICE group, seeking to cut the pipeline of computer science students to Palantir/ICE
- An upcoming #NoMusicforICE fundraiser and awareness concert!
Right now we're focusing a lot on getting support + resources to groups and projects working on #NoTechforICE, #NoTechforWar, #TechWontBuildIt, Ethical Source and other things along those ideological themes and positions.
