I remember the panic that year, two of my colleagues who were both born again Christians in their forties started doing this hush hush thing in the office
One was a PA and the other was an accountant
The PA had been married for twelve years and was still waiting to have a child
The accountant had been married for fifteen years and had two children
I was in my late thirties at the time
Both of them believe they were my seniors in the faith and in life and they felt some things should be kept between them or to themselves to spare them ridicule and/or in order not for me to think of them as weak in faith or not getting the desired results in the place of prayer
At first I didn’t notice the clandestine activities but it soon became a buzz in the office
What were they both doing together all the time?
There was a third colleague, he was my age mate and he was unmarried at the time
He had been battling with ICAN for years and was determined that he would not get married until he had passed all his exams
This guy came to me one afternoon and said “Brother Gbenga, I am getting worried about my future. These guys (referring to our colleagues) are losing the ability to sleep with their wives and they are using all sorts of herbs and concoctions in secret to remedy the issue.
I am not married but the lady I plan to get married to came to my house a few days ago.
I met her at home when I got home from the office, she had cooked and cleaned up the house and said she was too tired to drive back to her parent’s house
Sir, she later came to me that night to make out with me and I discovered that
my key was flat
It didn’t even turn inside the key holder
I don’t want to lose this woman but the way she has been acting since that day is scary.
Please are you experiencing the same thing?
What can I do?

There was a woman that came to the office often those days
She sold massage machines, some supplements and so on
The two brothers I mention earlier had been collecting stimulants and supplements from this woman
I didn’t know it was about their keys not opening the right keyhole
Sometimes when I give them a ride in my car from the office the two of them would be talking in codes
Again, not my business
I put all these thoughts together while having a chat with the brother that came to me
Sex is a big deal for men and women
The inability to perform on the bed had led many into depression and some even committed suicide
I understood the issues clearly
The next morning, during our office devotion (We were all working in a church office) I brought up something I saw in the book of Romans 8:11
“but if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal body by His Spirit that dwells in you!
I explained to them that there is vitality in the word of God
These words were not for sword drills and memory verses, they were written for practical application of believers.
Please eat right and rest, make sure you exercise your body as often as possible but let the word of God be your medicine!
Let the Holy Spirit in you be unleashed for the good of your body and your health
Everything is not “use tongue to confuse the enemy”
Use your tongue to set the right course for your life and your body to follow
When you notice that the key is not turning early in the morning as it used to, don’t say “Old age is coming” or start running around like a headless chicken
Don’t panic, speak to your body and grab madam
Madam, the same applies to you, don’t complain
Pray in the Holy Ghost and Roar (Sha’gar) to your body, say to yourself “I am young, strong, powerful and able
By my God I ride upon the wing of Eagles
When my husband comes home today he must collect till he shouts Glory!

About a year ago, I embarked on a journey to London from Manchester
I had with me two travel bags and two phones
I was to take the train from where I was in Manchester to Sheffield and then from Sheffield to London
Somewhere on the trip my iPhone 13 got lost
I didn’t even notice it was lost until I got to my hotel at woolwich
I didn’t have an iPad or a Mac device so it was impossible to track the phone
I forgot about it and moved on
About a week later we went for the GSWMI London Bridge CSR event.
During the CSR event I saw a shop where they were selling iPhones and I bought iPhone 14
When I got back to my hotel, I set the phone up and I went into the locate my device option
Lo and behold I located my iPhone 13 on the app
A week later on my return journey to Nigeria out of Manchester airport I travelled by train back to Sheffield
The phone literally led me to the “Lost and Found” office at the Sheffield train station
I told the women in the office I lost my phone and would like to pick it up
The woman checked through the pigeon holes and located my phone, she turned on her computer and asked me what I used as my screensaver
I told her it was my picture
I was wearing a white hoodie and a blue jeans and holding a microphone
She smiled and gave me the phone
A few months later I was at another hotel in Gatwick, I was due for a flight to Aberdeen the next day
I went to have lunch at the restaurant and the lady at the reception looked at me intently
She said, I remember you
I said “Me? I just came in from Nigeria yesterday
She said “You were the one with the miracle phone”
I said “No, I am not, you must have mistaken me for somebody else.
She said “No you are the one, the one who came looking for your phone at Sheffield in March this year
(This was the last week of July)
I said “Oh, yes that was me”
She said “The day I returned the phone to you, I was wondering if you were an MC or a comedian or a musician because I saw your screen saver and you were holding a microphone in the picture”
When I got home I started telling my husband about my day in the office and I mentioned you. The moment I mentioned you my husband began to shiver and he started feeling chills all over. Next thing I know he was being rushed to the hospital. He had always been frail of health due to the tumor he had in his brain.
By the time they tested him at the hospital, tumor had disappeared.
My husband would later tell me the man in the phone touched his head and took the tumors out while I was talking to him.
It was all so strange
We moved to London as soon as he recovered his health because he was working with London Fire Brigade before he fell ill
It was his illness that made me decide to move us to Harlan Sheffield so he will be close to our family members.
He resumed his full duty on in June, I got this job and I resumed just last week.
And I am seeing you again today, how much of a coincidence is that?
I told her I came in with a brother and sister and while we were waiting to check into the hotel I told them that I had a vision some months ago in which I saw the three of us in that hotel.
I didn’t remember the details of that vision but it was a deja vu moment for me.
She said “Is this normal to you? Do you get this kind of reaction from people all the time?”
I said “Yes”
She said “Please give me a minute”
She dashed into the hotel and returned a few minutes later with an envelope, in it was £200
She said “I want to give you this, I am not a Christian, my mother told me the Bible is a story book and a fairytale but meeting you has changed my life and that of my husband.
We are Christians now and we attend a church at Horley
Please accept this, don’t reject it. I just feel like blessing you with it.
I accepted it and blessed her
The next day, as early as 6am, I heard a knock.
It was this lady and her husband
They came to say thank you and take pictures with me.
Later that day I checked out and found my way to Scotland

The Architect

I had a colleague once
He is from Edo State
He doesn't believe in Nigeria
He is in his late thirties now, I cannot say categorically why he hates Nigeria
He said His grandfather was in the Biafra war
The stories around the war were not palatable on both sides
No nation that had gone through a civil war comes out of it whole
War breaks men
It is primarily what it was meant to do
The stories he was told did quite a number on his mindset
He started fighting a battle he truly couldn't win
He gained admission to a University in Nigeria
Somehow he discovered his admission was fake when he got to the final year
He was a good footballer who represented his university and also played for clubs participating in non-professional leagues
He never made the cut whenever he went for trials
He got a job based on his father's goodwill
The job required proficiency in handling a computer and he was better than most
He got the job and even became better at it with the benefit of experience
The boss he worked with was from Edo State and they had a very beautiful and effective working arrangement
The boss however relocated in his fourth year on the job
They brought in another boss who is from another part of Nigeria
He began to grumble
"This man will expect me to work for him the same way I worked with my previous boss but I will not.
I will make this job difficult for him, I will frustrate him..."
Why was he taking this stance?
Yorubas were traitors during the war
Hausas were the real enemies of the East
Somebody did not honour the Aburi accord
Another person was responsible for starving little children
It was as if he was destined to self-sabotage
He didn't see the pattern his way of thinking had clearly set for him all his life
You cannot curse a country and expect it to yield good fruits for you
You cannot curse a land daily and expect the land to be a blessing to you
The food and water you drink are from a country and you curse the country daily
Can't you see that you are cursing your own food and water?
Can you not see how this is harming you?
He got sacked three months after the new boss resumed
He was the architect of his own misfortune
When he got the sack, everybody in the office who had ever had a discussion with him agreed that he deserved to be sack
He had never bothered to hide his disdain for Nigeria and other Nigerians from other tribes apart from his own
We all agree that Nigeria needs a lot of work but so does America
There is no country in the world that is perfect
There is no country in the world where we don't have the homeless, the hungry and the discontented
From Paris to Casablanca
From Djibouti to Kampala
Human nature remains the same
Each man makes the best of the situation in which he or she finds himself
We all made peace with the country of origin where we found ourselves
Nobody chose where to be born or when
What we make of our situation however is up to us
Let us always remember this
When the Israelites were admonished to pray for Jerusalem
It was not because Judah or Israel or Jerusalem was the best city in terms of the welfare of its citizens at the time
They were not even pleasing God that much at the time
They had idols and they departed from the way of God quite often but they were told that those who did this shall prosper
Pay attention!
If you bless the country you are living in, you will prosper
The land will yield unto you glorious fruits, the water will be sweet in your mouth, you will be highly favoured and your joy will be full
The elements in the land will yield unto you their goodness
If you are a Christian, blessing your country is a must for you
Jesus emphatically said to you "Bless, curse not"
Jesus blessed Jerusalem and forgave her even as he was judged and crucified by the mob of the city
The wise understands this
The foolish however is quick to come up with "Nigeria will happen to you"
"Nigeria is finished"
Nigeria is this and Nigeria is that!
Saying that only affects you and those who share that same belief with you
Those who see the good in Nigeria are prospering in Nigeria every day
At the end of your journey, your success or failure in life has nothing to do with the circumstances surrounding your birth or the nation you were born in
You will either have talked your way into success or with your own mouth you have condemned yourself to failure
Your tomorrow is being spoken with your own mouth today
Believe this and you will see it to be true.
When that colleague of mine was sacked, he stayed at home in lack for over a year
We were on the same grade level when he was sacked, but i spoke glory always into my own future
I prayed for the country I live in and my confession always was that the land will yield its increase for me and unto me
I began to pay this colleague his monthly salary a year after he was sacked, i got him a new job which he is still doing now
He speaks less now and tries to get along with people because he has learnt his lesson but whenever we have the chance to talk one on one, I still see the bitterness in his heart against Nigeria.
I had to tell him recently that as long as he hates his country, he has no hope of making anything of his life in the same country
Perhaps he should relocate to a country he will love and speak well of
By hating the country and calling it useless and then expecting the useless country to yield for you wealth and other useful things, you are sending a conflicting signal to the ministering Spirits working with you as an heir of salvation

With your own mouth you will determine the course your life will take
If you say the right words but have the wrong impressions or mindset, your words will be empty words and will not produce any result
You must mean what you say for your life to become what you desire of it.

Christianity in Africa and many parts of the world is unfortunately just a charade at the moment
The previous generation of Christian leaders did a great job of bringing the Christian doctrine to play against a predominantly pagan culture
Paganism was one of the dark realities that covered the African nation, the second was illiteracy (lack of enlightenment of the mind) which gave room to superstition, fear, ignorance, dark arts, and a general lack of progress due to fetishism
To combat the ills, western education was introduced to handle the illiteracy issue and christian religion was introduced to handle the paganism issue
The rest was expected to fall into place over a period of time
The believers produced in that generation were at best Nepios
They didn't really know the difference between the Old Testament and the gospel they were taught basically substituting the idols and practices of paganism with those of Christianity.
Herbalists were replaced by Pastors
Jujuman/Sorcerer was replaced by Prophets
Charms and totems were replaced by candles, soaps, perfumes, anointing oil, mantle, crosses, Holy water, the Holy Bible, etc
Incantations were replaced by memorized psalms, portions of the book of Isaiah, and other Bible verses
Worry points were replaced by prayer points
People rever and worship men and women of God today the same way they revered and worshipped dibias and their local priests of old
There was no real knowledge of Christ as it should be
A Christian who has truly come into the knowledge of Christ understands that only God is to be worshipped and does not see any man or woman of God as the intermediary through whom his or her prayer will be answered
He or she knows Jesus and not only strives to be like Him in character, but he or she also wields the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit to dismantle all the works of darkness effortlessly
It is not surprising to see Christians thronging to crusades today all over Africa with a mindset of delegating their success in life to God, blaming one enemy or the other for their current situation in life and wishing death on that enemy, not taking responsibility for their own life, lacking critical thinking and maturity in the manner in which they handle life and its affairs
Like the little children mentioned by St. John Divine in his books, they have remained Nepios in all their manifestations.
Engaging with Nepios in the 1980s and 1990s was part of the process of maturity, which was the level at which the Christians of those days operated
Most of their own Christian leaders were semi-literate, illiterate and averagely literate
It is expected that at that point a Christian can believe witches can afflict him or her because they live next door to many suspicious characters who were deeply rooted in fetishism
That generation has almost died out
Why then is this generation also believing in enemies and witchcraft?
They are simply continuing in the programming of the mindset and thinking pattern of their parents who raised them with the wrong consciousness
They have simply refused to consider the changes in the reality of the then as against the now so that they can review their approach to the Christian faith and see beyond the lens of a child
As Apostle Paul elegantly explained it to the Galatians, as long as they remained Nepios they would have to be subjected to the leadership of Guardians and trustees (men of God, Pastors, Bishops, Visioneers, general Overseers who act like demigods and rule over them in all things) even though they have been given the whole estate
When the time set by his father comes the Nepios will have to shed the toga of immaturity and take responsibility

Taking Responsibility

Matthew 3: 11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

John the Baptist was a placeholder like many of the spiritual leaders we are littered all over Christendom today
These placeholders are not building the believers up to be independent and mature, they have basically turned believers into their cattle and they are just milking them for profit
When Jesus came on the scene, John recognized him as the heir but at that moment John was the guardian
Jesus allowed John to baptize him and as soon as that was done he got filled with the Holy Spirit and took the responsibility of his role as the saviour of the world
He didnt keep following John about as John's disciple
He stepped into his role and fulfilled it
Today's believers need to be more like Jesus in this wise
We are too contented to delegate our spiritual responsibility to others and follow sheepishly instead of maturing and taking responsibility
The placeholders have also come up with doctrines that will keep them relevant and prevent the believer from breaking out of childishness into maturity
You hear things like "Your Pastor is greater than your biological father and mother", "Your pastor is higher in authority than your parents", "Your pastor is higher in authority than your husband"
"Your pastor is higher in authority than the Holy Spirit in your life"
"You are under a pastor's spiritual covering and anything can happen to you once you leave that covering"
"You must not do anything without carrying your pastor along, he is the one whose grace covers you and he must be in the know"
"Loyalty is everything, if you are loyal to your pastor he will reward you with spiritual backing and blessings"
"Follow the one who knows the way, be obedient to your spiritual leader and it will be well with you"
These doctrines are taught to keep the guardian in his role for longer than he or she should be
Alexander the Great was a pupil of Aristotle, he was taught and trained by the philosopher for some years before he began to rule
He was not a permanent student
If students don't graduate under a teacher, then the teacher has failed
Believers should begin to come to the full knowledge of Christ and establish their walk with the Holy Spirit to such a degree that they will live out the scripture as the prolongment of the days of Christ

Gaining Knowledge

There are things that were given to every believer the moment they gave their lives to Jesus Christ, five of which were written below
1) Eternal life
2)The name of Jesus
3) Baptism of the Holy Spirit
4) Authority
5) Power

There are things that must be learned in order to mature as a believer.
This is where knowledge comes in

Jesus also had to grow
Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.

Peter also admonished us to grow
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

In order to grow we must learn Christ and practice Christ
Not only in character but in the supernatural and in the metaphysical

We must heal the sick and raise the dead
We must dismantle the works of darkness fearlessly
We must hoist the flag of the Holy Spirit and the name of Jesus on every mountain and high place of this earth and the realms of the Spirit
We must do this through the Holy Spirit and the knowledge gained from the Word of God

The days of relying on oil blessed by one man or handkerchief laid hands on by another will soon be gone
The days of gathering and singing warfare songs that do not glorify God while claiming we are holding a crusade are petering out
Believers are not growing at the same rate, so some will still keep up with the old practices as they come into knowledge but you cannot remain in that one spot if you hope to truly fulfill and prolong the days of Christ.

Relationship

The key to living the supernatural life effortlessly is deeply rooted in cultivating a relationship of I in you and you in me with the Holy Spirit.
Many believers don't even know what that means, to them, the Holy Spirit is like a Christian term employed to deflect from taking responsibility for their own decisions or add legitimacy to any claim they are making in order to manipulate their listeners or audience.

I have seen a lady claiming the Holy Spirit told her someone is her husband (A married man), this obviously was her way of saying I am lusting after a married man religiously.
The Holy Spirit is not a spirit sent live a genie to give you your heart wishes
He is the Spirit of God, sent to dwell in you so that you can do the deeds of God effortlessly as a saviour out of Zion
We will be learning this too.

We will be teaching and learning Christ this Saturday at ECWA church, Ebutte Meta

Thriving in Challenging Times

It has been my experience since I was a child, that the economy of nations has always been bad
The price of commodities had always gone up
The salary being paid to workers both in the private and public sectors had never been enough
Fraud, corruption, and abuse of power have always been the characteristics of every government
It had never gotten better in the world, it had always been worse
When the military ruled, it was terrible
When the civilians took over, it was terrible
There had always been a tunnel, a dark one with a promise of light shinning beyond it
We have never seen that light, and we never will
It had also been my experience and my observation that what people believe plays out in their reality
Those who believe in government, listen to the news dedicatedly and always end up bitter and disappointed that there is no good news
Yes, sometimes the government will declare free education for primary and secondary school students
A short season ago, fuel subsidy was the one thing that every citizen of Nigeria benefitted from directly from the government
We know what the price of fuel was all over the world and we know how much we were buying it
Some criminally minded citizens, however, decided that they would make a killing by taking what we were having for cheap, exporting it to neighboring countries, and padding up figures so that they could suddenly be called rich in society
Other criminals decided that they would claim to have imported fuel at a certain amount, collect the subsidy plus the fund for the fuel on the imported figures from the government without delivering the fuel to the people
It was a field day for criminals
It was the duty of the news to tell us what was going on
Soon all the things we were enjoying for free became bitter in our tummies
We still wanted it for free but we didn't want the smart Alecs to have their way with our resources that way
We shut it down
We would rather all suffer than allow the few smart Alecs to rob us of our commonwealth
Politicians have always looted our treasuries
Civil servants had always embezzled our commonwealth
It is how it was from the beginning, it is how it will be forever
I am not n=making a confession or declaration
I know human nature and the culture of a nation outside of the programming of God
There is nothing new under the heavens
The name of the culprit may change and the position he or she is holding in government may change but the crime is pretty much the same all the time
Many had gotten away with great evil, it is the ones who were not smart enough to escape that we see and cry foul
Has there ever been a time when things got better?
Has there ever been a day when a crime or two were not committed among citizens in a country or a state?
We embraced religion like a second skin thinking in it we would be able to launder our image and gain the respect of many who would not see us but would see our devotion to God as a sign of our good nature
Under this guise, we perpetrate the most heinous crimes against one another and get away with some while we get caught for others
A drummer in a church i once attended lured a girl in the choir to his parent's house and raped her
He was 19, she was 16
The girl's younger sister lured the keyboardist to her father's house in the guise of "My mummy wants to see you"
The keyboardist got to their house, and this girl hit him with a stick at the back of his head
He woke up naked, tied to a chair with his mouth properly tied
She then proceeded to ride him like a mule, for hours
Their youngest sister witnessed both events and came to church to report

Enough to see how true her story of the two accounts was

The two brothers denied it
The mother of the three girls turned on the youngest sister and flogged her mercilessly, saying to her in Edo language that it is not everything a child sees that the child should have the effrontery to share
Truth forever on the scaffold, lies forever on the throne
Pastors with collars on their necks will use the "Perception" of dignity their office gives them to perpetrate frauds all in the name of making money and a name for themselves

We have systematically slanted the purity of the message of the gospel so that it can profit us and our various ideologies
We have introduced a lot of pagan and unwholesome occultic confessions into our Christian consciousness
Our prayers had become more dictated by fear than guided by the Holy Spirit
We are stuck in the valley, sinking in a miry clay with our mouths full of lamentation
This is the state of every nation under the reign of darkness in today's world
The takers from the West are still taking
The oppressed of the dark continent are still serving their masters
Brain drain is on the rise and the gains are at an all-time low
The politics is getting harder and harder to sustain
The economy is worse than it has ever been all over
The whole of creation is still groaning
And yet the Believer has been given the right to choose either in this reality or create another one that is independent of circumstances and far above the dictates of men, their policies, idiosyncracies, ideologies, philosophies, bigotry, and evil nature
The key to this reality lies in accepting all that being in Christ represents and deliberately speaking and living this life here and now
Living and speaking in the mindset and the wisdom of the Just
The wisdom of the just refers to the mindset of the righteous. It’s a mind that’s yielded and given to the Word—easily persuaded by the Word to act in conformity to the Word.
Such a person is willing to accept the Word and to make adjustments on the basis of the Word. That’s functioning in the wisdom of the just. True wisdom is living in, and by God’s Word; being influenced and propelled by the Word to the right thoughts and actions.
1 Peter 4:17 says, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” The underlined portion of the preceding verse is the verb of the noun we read in Luke 1:17: “that obey not.” The Greek word is “Apeitheo,” meaning the disobedient; one who’s willfully disobedient and unbelieving; the foolish. The Bible says, “The fool says in his heart, “There is no God…” (Psalm 14:1 NIV).
Being born again, you have a different mindset: the mindset of the just. Therefore, be swayed and easily moved by the Word of God; take your actions on the basis of the Word. It doesn’t matter how something appears, or that you find it appealing to the senses or your emotions, if the Word of God says otherwise, conform to the Word. Discipline yourself to accept and live by the Word of God only.
How do you apply this?
Speak it, think it, be convinced of it, and act out your conviction
This was how Jesus lived
Surrounded by Roman soldiers, in an occupied nation choking with religious fanatics and angry people seeking freedom from their oppressors
A nation that had turned to religion as opium and governed by men whose desire to please the Romam Emperor exceeded their capacity to rule fairly
Born of poor parents into an inconsequential family living in a city in which it was said that nothing good could come out of it
Jesus had a mindset that is greater than the world
He was never aware of lack, limitation, or any disadvantage
His introduction to us as a miracle worker was at a wedding at Cana of Galilee
His mother had put him on the spot
He had no stake in the wedding
He could have given a speech like "Cut your coat according to your cloth" and we would all have read it later and said Jesus is so wise or Jesus is full of some profound truth"
His mother put him on the spot because it was not his first time doing such a thing
It was however his first time displaying his mindset in public
He didnt complain, blame the host or the party organizer
He said they should fill pots with water and he simply solved the problem using the resources available to him
And he did it so well that everyone at the wedding testified
This is how to thrive in challenging times
No matter what the world may be going through at any time, you have been raised far above principalities and powers, far above the economic conditions of this world, and far above the prevailing circumstances of the time
You are not subject to sickness, affliction, illness, curses, abuses, depression, oppression, elements of this world, or the whims and caprices of men or women
See yourself as you truly are in Christ always and never see yourself as the world assumes you are in the world with them
You are not of this world
You are a saviour out of Zion, equipped with all the benefits of an ambassador of Christ, lacking nothing!
Always remember this
You are either living in the Word or living in the world
You are either living the Word or living the news and issues of life
You are either asleep in the boat of your own peace in the storm or troubled by the storm for your sinking boat
It can never be both
It is always either!

The wisdom of God is at work in me mightily; I know what to do, what to say, who to meet. All at the right time. I’ll never miss my way. The knowledge of God is increasing in my life. I increase in Grace which produces in my life, beauty, honour, acceptability, loveliness, goodwill, benefits, endurance, promotion, elegance, charm, glory, favour.
I increase in divine favor, I increase in speed and accuracy. No weapon formed against me shall ever prosper. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places, ye I have a goodly heritage. Ministering spirits are at my disposal, working for me. I am a world-over-comer; I am more than a conqueror. I can never be disadvantaged; for all things are orchestrated for my benefit.
I cannot be disadvantaged in any way, it's all working together for my good because I love the Lord. My finances are booming all the time, I lay up gold as dust. I increase in fortune. Great is my peace and prosperity. I am a great personality; a force to be reckoned with, I have access to all nations, no limitations, no boundaries.
The glory of God is risen upon me, I am the effulgence of God’s presence. God tabernacles in me, I carry His atmosphere of miracles everywhere I go. I am strengthened, energized, endued with power, ability, and might. I am a great minister of the gospel of our Lord Jesus. I am an ardent soul winner. The word of God shall prosper in my life and fulfill in me what it talks about.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am who God says I am. I am a blessing to my world and All I lay my hands upon to do shall prosper and be blessed. Kings shall come to my rising. My future is bright and glorious, I cannot fail, and neither can I be defeated. I win always, in every situation. Every mountain before me is made plain, all crooked paths are made straight. Hallelujah.
I am the head and not the tail. Any careless word that I have spoken or has been spoken concerning me is nullified in Jesus Name. Grace and peace are multiplied unto me. Springs of joy well up within me all the time. The word of God is effective in my life.
I am super-favored, I live in superabundance because I am connected to God’s unending supply system. The love of God is shed abroad in my heart and this love radiates to all around me. Nothing can stop me, nothing can hinder me. The hand of God rests upon me and my household.
I function from the position of rest, I live a struggle-free, worry-free life all the time…Oh, glory to God!! I’ve been qualified to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. Darkness has no place in me, for I’m native-born to the light.
I manifest this light to my world ever so brightly today and always. I walk in the light, as He is in the light… I walk in glory, strength, victory, and righteousness today. My life is the manifestation of the wisdom and grace of God! I’m what God says I am. Glory to God. Hallelujah!

Imagine That!

How do you explain receiving an instruction from a God who introduced himself to you in a foreign land and in a strange way but immediately placed a demand on you to carry out a project or an assignment for him?
It was not as if you were not doing okay where you were and on your own before he came and insinuated himself into your life
He came and his coming upset your life as you know it
You had to leave your Father's house, leave your mother's house, pack all your belongings, and head for a place you do not know but which he will show you
Imagine that!
Or you have to leave your job as a shepherd, leave the family that accommodated you in this strange land, convince your wife of several years who had two children for you that you are going back to the country where you are a wanted fugitive on the instructions of a God who she had never seen, met or known all her life
You were also going to have to do circumcision for yourself and your sons just so you can convince these strange people whose God you met in the desert to believe in you
God did not go to the crowd to tell them about you or introduce you to them as their new messiah or general manager, he left all that to you
He didn't give you an army
He didnt give you the funds to buy an army
You argued with him seriously on the matter and he introduced himself to you as "I am that I am"
As if you can use the name to withdraw money from the bank
Then he told you to go to the most powerful king in the world and compel him to surrender all his slaves to you so that you can bring them to Him in the desert for the sole purpose of worshipping him
As if he could not be worshipped in Egypt...
Imagine this God appearing to you and asking you to give him your son, the son he gave you in your old age
Not give him, the way Hannah gave Samuel but give him the way Abel sacrificed his lamb to the Lord as an offering
To be fair, God can sometimes make unreasonable demands of us
God always makes unreasonable demands of us
This is because he is aware of the capacity he gave us which we didn't even know we had and he placed demands on us based on those capacities and not based on how we see ourselves
Abraham was the father of Faith, God gave Abraham that gift of faith himself, Abraham didnt know that gift was powerful enough to prevent him from considering ever disobeying God
When God told him to bring his son to the mountain and kill him, Abraham found faith stirring in him so strongly that he did not have an option but to do it
No father would willingly do what Abraham did without that supernatural capacity of faith which was imputed in Abraham supernaturally
The same applies to Moses, although in Moses' case, it was not the Spirit of Faith but the Spirit of Dominion
God literally empowered this shepherd fugitive with the power to bring a whole nation and its structures to its knees while the King of that nation will suffer and surrender helplessly in the end
It didn't look so at the beginning when Moses stood before Pharoah and did his trick with the rod but as things unfolded Moses realized that God had made him a God indeed unto Pharaoh
No matter how unreasonable his decrees were in Egypt, they came to pass
Pharoah and his magicians had never seen anything like it before
Moses didn't know he had that kind of power and capacity
God knew He did, so then, God placed a demand on that capacity which on the surface seemed unreasonable
The same applied to Gideon, David, Peter, Paul, Philip, and many of the glorious examples presented to us throughout the Scriptures
God did not deal with them as they were before he met them
God dealt with them as they will be after he had met them but most of them were not aware of this change in their abilities and circumstances immediately
Some never became aware of it and since they didn't see themselves the way God saw them, they died without fulfilling the demand of God upon their capacity in Him
A man like James, who was killed by Herod had no business dying that early as the church began to unfold the mysteries and power of Jesus Christ to the world
Peter, James, and John were the three most important witnesses of Jesus in the gospels
They were entrusted with secrets and mysteries that the other disciples didnt know but which they must be taught after Jesus had been crucified
They witnessed the transfiguration, they witnessed the raising of Jairus' daughter, and the use of the code Talitha cum, they witnessed the deliverance of Mary Magdalene and were central to the dissemination of information as grape vines of the Lord
They were filled with the Holy Spirit and with power on the day of Pentecost
Peter rode the waves of the Spirit and soon they had the crowd but some of them had been waiting to die with the Lord thinking this was the ultimate goal of the coming of Christ
The disciples were saying in the Book of Acts that it is a privilege to be flogged, be beaten, suffer, and even die for the message they now preach
This thinking led to the death of James
A fatalist approach that diminishes the capacity of any believer and makes him a victim of ordinary men
Herod was an ordinary man with a title, he had no right to kill a supernatural being like James but James didn't see himself as supernatural, neither did he understand the enormity of the assignment given to him by Jesus Christ and how much he was needed alive for the course of the gospel
James didn't know angels could come to his rescue and all sorts of supernatural things could keep him alive and useful for the church
He was put to the sword like a criminal
His death motivated the church to pray and then the supernatural broke out among them
Wow!
It is not a good thing to be ignorant of the capacity one has in Christ
You will not be able to place a demand on the full riches that are yours in Christ Jesus as long as you keep acting, thinking, talking, and behaving like an ordinary man especially after you have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit
I have a litmus test with which i know if a believer is being transformed daily by the consciousness of the Supernatural or not
I listen to the believer as he or she interacts with unbelievers, if they can understand one another easily without the believer coming off as arrogant or unrealistic or being full of himself then the believer is not being transformed
The first thing that changes in a believer after he or she has become born again and filled with the Holy Spirit is the mindset and the evidence of this is in the language and tone employed while speaking
Imagine being in Pharaoh's court when Moses came there
An ordinary shepherd without gold, silver, an army, or any form of influence
He naturally should fall on his knees before Pharaoh and beg for a favour
He stood there and told the King that The God he served had issued an instruction which Pharaoh must comply with and that this instruction was for Pharaoh to "Let My People Go"
I would have laughed at the audacity
Yeah, that word "Audacity"
Abraham had it too
David, Daniel, Esther, Joshua, Caleb,
Jesus had plenty of Audacity
Paul had audacity
Why dont you have audacity?
It is because you are not aware of who you are in Christ yet.
There is no one who walked in the consciousness of this new life in Christ who was not audacious
Daniel said but the people who do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32
it is a pity that many believers are not doing exploits today, they are merely praying for exploits
Like the priests of Baal
The instruction was directly from Jesus to those who believe and do as he has instructed
In fact, Jesus told the disciples that they must not be hearers of the word but doers of it
Many of us interpreted that to mean that when they ask for an offering and i give an offering or when they call for a seed and i give a seed or when they tell me not to wear trousers as a lady and i dont wear it I am doing the Word
No please, Jesus is not a morality or ethics instructor
The Holy Spirit was not given to you so that you can dress up in a culturally acceptable manner or behave in a societally acceptable manner
You are equipped for supernatural exploits in Christ
These signs will follow those who do believe: they will drive out evil spirits in my name; they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up snakes, and if they drink anything poisonous it will do them no harm; they will lay their hands upon the sick and they will recover.”
Unfortunately, due to religion and sorts of narratives and stories of devilish and occultic exploits being shared on the altar by many pastors, the average believer believes so much in the power of darkness and its ability to finish or cripple them that all they do now is defend themselves from the attack of the enemy (seen and unseen), (Known and Unknown), which leads them to pray irrelevant prayers and being fearful of everything and everyone
Some carry anointing oil in their bags
Some carry mantles (handkerchiefs blessed by their pastor)
Some wear hand bands, bracelets, t-shirts etc
Some wear prayer shawls from Turkey or Israel
Material mediums are a thing of the Old Testament introduced to the church by many who are looking to make some money off the faith people put in things rather than in the Spirit of God that has been given to them
In this new testament, the believer himself and herself is the one filled with the Holy Spirit and empowered to do exploits in Christ.
As long as you see yourself as a victim and ordinary, nothing extraordinary will be done by you
This is why we have many who pray in tongues and only a few who walk in the supernatural
This year you must change that mindset and make it conform with the reality of the Spirit at work in you
You must be audacious as you do the exploits of the Spirit
You cannot focus on your life challenges and act as if this was why you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit
If you don't do it the way Jesus did it, you will never have his results or even the results we refer to as greater works!

House dedications, supernatural pregnancies, miracle babies and all
And all these were being done right in the middle of a massive multi-billion naira project we are doing for the Lord
When the Lord told me to build him a city, i was like "What? A city? Not a church?"
We started building and we all somehow became richer and richer individually and as a ministry
I cannot explain it but it is true
The sort of things God does that you cannot explain but can only see and wonder

Today we celebrate God’s faithfulness after nine years of waiting

She was the one that called off the relationship
She didn't give any sensible explanation in his opinion
They met at first on Facebook and then at the University of Lagos
He was working as a journalist with a TV station
She just concluded her first degree
They were both admitted for part-time MA in Mass Communication
He was in 34
She was 28
She sent him a friendship request
He accepted it and complimented her picture in her inbox
She replied "I am looking for a job, sir"
He invited her to his office
She told him she lived in the East and had never been
to Lagos before
He told her if she really needed a job, Lagos is where to be
She said she would work on it
Two weeks later she sent him a message that she had arrived in Lagos
She said she was staying with an older sister at Ajah
He lined up some interviews for her
She got a job, a freelancing job
Something an inexperienced reporter will quickly grasp and can build on
Her older sister was also working on a job for her
Three months after she got to Lagos, her older sister
landed her a better job
She called to tell him she would be resigning the job he got for her
He told her there is a difference between a job and building a career
Her sister got her a job in the procurement department of a mall in Enugu
the job pays 120,000 Naira a month
The job he got her was paying 60,000 Naira a month but it was only the first rung of a very long ladder
She listened to him as he passionately tried to convince her not to lose sight of her focus
She thanked him for his TED talk and resigned
He knew she would regret the decision but he couldn't tell her so
She went to the East
As soon as she got back to the East she met a guy
A married guy who was one of the suppliers of the mall
They got into an affair
The affair became a messy one
She got sacked
She returned to Lagos four months after she left
She called him out of the blue asking for his help
He had to go pick her up from the motor park
It was their first meeting
She told him everything like he was a long-lost friend
He felt sorry for her
He couldn't have foreseen the affair aspect of things but he knew she was trading the future for the present by leaving the job he got for her for a job way out of her scope of study
He told her about the admission going on at the University of Lagos
She had hinted to him several times that she would like to lecture
She loved the idea
They drove to the University of Lagos
They both got a form each, they filled it and submitted
He drove her to her cousin's house at Akoka
She didn't want to stay with her sister in Ajah because she
didn't want to have to explain what happened in Enugu to her
She didn't want to lie
She decided she would just call her and tell her she decided to leave the job so that she could pursue her masters
After that day they began to call each other once in a while
He was single and he wanted to remain so for as long as possible
At least until he got his life in order and can accommodate a woman in his life conveniently
He had a job, lived in a flat, and also had a car
but he wanted more than just the average life for himself
He knew dating was an expensive venture, not only would it cost him money, but it would also cost him time and a lot of emotions
He also knew he couldn't date the kind of lady he wanted without the means to woo her and take care of her
Many ladies just package rubbish in the name of marrying me
He didn't want to settle down with any of such
She came to his house for the first time one Friday after their class in UNILAG
She had asked him if he was in a relationship and he had said no
She said she didnt believe him
He drove her to his house
She stepped in and saw for herself he was a bachelor
Her attitude towards him softened but she was not his kind of lady
She was still trying to find her feet and he would end up spending so much money on her to get her there
He didn't want to do that for any woman
He had done it in his twenties, and paid his due!
He sponsored a lady's education right from polytechnic through her first degree
He covered her tuition, accommodation, feeding, etc
She dumped him as soon as she went to NYSC in Oshogbo
She left him for a guy who didn't spend a dime
He told himself what goes round must come round
Somewhere out there, there must be a lady who will also be ready-made for him
He didn't want to go through that stress again
She on the other hand had seen a rare gem that ought to be mined
He is disciplined, focused, has a job, does not club or party, has no bad habits, is open to her ideas, and listens to her like a friend would
She felt he was the one for her
She started coming around to his flat often
At first, he would try to be around whenever she was coming
Eventually, she asked for the key to his flat
She said she found it easier to study there
She was also having issues with her cousin whose boyfriend rented her apartment for her and likes to come around to be with his babe
Her presence changed the dynamics of their relationship somewhat and her cousin had been singing a certain kind of song in her ears
She moved into the guest room
From that point, it was a matter of time before they became lovers
He knew she was doing it for survival
In his head, she needed accommodation and didnt want him to be able to up and throw her out whenever he wanted to
Sleeping with him sort of gives her the emotional advantage to stay and make things messy if he ever had to get her to leave
She didn't see it that way
She was twenty-nine and he was thirty-six
They fitted into each other like a key to a padlock
It was the next logical step
Their lovemaking was great, the conversation was awesome
They had a lot in common and he grew extremely fond of her
but he was no liar and he couldn't tell her he loved her or show her his commitment to sharing a future with her
He would hint to her that he didnt want to marry a liability and she would hint to him that calling her a liability was inaccurate
"I am here, making your life better
I cook, I wash, i keep your house and I make your life better, what else do you want?"
He did not need anyone to do those things for him, if that was all he wanted he would have married just anybody
He wanted to marry an accomplished woman, be part of a power couple, and use the influence of himself and his wife to gain dominance over many social and economic spheres of influence
She was not his power couple partner
He didn't want to settle for less than his dream
She would say "You keep asking me what I am bringing to the table, Am I not enough? Am I not someone with the drive and the kind of lifestyle that would make you better?"
He wanted more than words however, he wanted to see https://t.co/Xhbmsa7BmX, LLB, ICAN, APCON, etc behind his wife's name
He wanted to see his wife on TV and in powerful boardrooms
She was not the one
After four years of back and forth, she called it quits and left
She had completed her studies and gotten a job as an assistant lecturer in Enugu
She realised he was not willing to commit to a marriage or any sensible arrangements
They were lovers and he respected and treated her with dignity but he was not willing to offer more than that
She knew if he found what he was looking for he would not hesitate to dump her
She thanked him for being a true friend and a pillar of support, packed her stuff, and returned to her sister's house in Ajah
He came looking for her that very day
She stepped out of the house to see him
He asked her to come back
He missed her badly and she could see his distress
But he was not offering her more than the deal she walked away from
She missed him too, terribly but that was not how she wanted to live her life
Like an appendage, a wayfarer
She didn't feel settled with him and she couldn't force him to do right by her
He came back every day of that week until her resistance began to waver
By the next weekend, she packed her bags and traveled to the East
Just so she can be far away from him
She also blocked him on all the social media handles and phone lines
She needed to heal and move on
She was 33 and time was already laughing at her
He moved on too after a while
She had set up a second account with which she monitored him covertly on social media
She saw him when he traveled for a conference in Spain, France, Germany, India, and Singapore
She saw him when he started dating a lady (Big shot) working with a flour mill in Lagos
She didn't meet anyone new per se
She became a Christian and committed her energy to serve the Lord
Two years later she got an email from him
He asked if she could unblock him so that they could have a chat
She called him two days later
He said he just wanted to know how she had been
She got angry
She said "What do you want from me?
Why are you stalking me and calling me?
I am here, after having given up everything i know
and love because i dont fit into your plans, you still won't allow me to lick my wounds and heal in peace
Please stop calling me, it hurts
You are living the life you chose and I cannot be a part of that
why are you rubbing it in?
I beg you to please move on with your life and let me be
It is enough"
He didn't expect her reaction at all
He called just to check up on her and see how she was doing
Her response however shocked him
He bought a ticket and flew to Enugu the next day
She went to the University campus where he knew she was working as a lecturer to look for her
He found her right outside the Mass Communications department
She screamed when she saw him
Dropped everything in her hand and rushed into his arms
Again, it was the most unexpected welcome
She took him immediately to the cafeteria and then to her flat
While she was fixing a meal for him in the kitchen
He walked in and held her
He kissed her on the forehead and then on the lips
She turned to face him and with her fingers she began to milk him all over
It was as if she was never gone
History took a back seat
Sanity took a long break
He smashed and she grabbed
It was a breathless race but they both crossed the finishing line at the same time
He proposed to her that evening
She said Yes
They got married in Lagos three months later.

PS: She said after venting on that phone call with him
she felt very terrible
She had never been like that with anyone before in her life
She respected him too much and loved him too much to talk to him the way she did
She said as she sat in her room feeling terrible
She called the Brother in Jeans and T-Shirt just to unburden and see if he could pray with her
The Brother In Jeans and T-shirt laughed and said "Your man is coming for you"
At first, she ignored it but he said it again and again, he said convince yourself to think right and to act right when he comes, the ball is now in your court
This will end in praise either way, but if you want this man, when he comes you must act right in every way.
I didn't say act religious, or do SU, I said act right, act wisely
She said she then asked herself what she would do when she saw him several times
She concluded that she would just go with the flow and allow her heart to lead the way
She did just that and everything changed

He said "I thought she would shoot me at sight or call security on me"
She took me by surprise with her reaction when she saw me
it was shocking
Like the total opposite of what I was expecting
I realised i loved her
I have always loved her
I had been convincing myself i didn't but I did
I decided to ask her to marry me
When she said yes, I knew it was the best decision I ever made
