If you think Mori didn’t groom and emotionally abuse Dazai please block me I’m so tired of stupid people unable to process what we see in fucking canon it makes me actually angry. If I see one more person claim that Dazai STARTED the cycle of abuse, and not Mori when he recruited a FOURTEEN YEAR OLD into the mafia I’m going to lose it. IT DOES NOT MATTER THAT DAZAI KNEW WHAT HE WAS GETTING INTO! His age means that, yeah, Mori did fucking groom Dazai. Which guess what, that’s fucking abuse!

I hate some of this fandom, just because Dazai abused akutagawa does not mean Dazai was not severely emotionally abused by Mori EVEN IN WHAT WE EXPLICITLY SEE! Abuse doesn’t have to be sexual or physical or verbal, for fucks sake. I rly hope none of you have children if you think what happened to Dazai to get into the mafia and what he went through to become an executive wasn’t Mori’s fault. Mori is Dazai’s abuser, that is canon and we see it over and over again, and I am tired of people being stupid enough to willingly ignore that just because they don’t like his character.

I’m also tired of people acting like he physically abused akutagawa because he was sadistic or something when no, he was a 16 year old trying to get a 14 year old to survive in the goddam mafia. Does that make it remotely ok? No! Dazai was an asshole and was horrible to that kid!

I have a lot of analysis on Dazai being genderqueer actually, most of it is stuff that can be interpreted in other ways but when viewed through a trans lens there’s a surprising amount of trans subtext to Dazai’s character. Like I said, it’s subjective, but still very interesting.

Im probably guilty of this too but I get rly annoyed by fics overusing “it wasn’t a ‘insert word here’ it was a ‘insert synonym’, ‘insert synonym’, ‘insert similar word with a different but similar meaning’ every two paragraphs.
