@BillSabo11@wholemars Don't underestimate the cost of installing cameras, Tesla even got rid of stalks to save money. Tesla would've come out way ahead without adding cameras even if they have to settle in some cases.
@BillSabo11@wholemars That's overkill, cases like this are like 1 out of millions if not higher. Tesla can't even record our faces, it would be the same with feet.
@wholemars It's just bad driver and he panicked. There have been countless cases where they thought they were hitting the brake but actually was stepping on accelerator.
@CarawayDJ@TwoWeeksLOL Didn't the driver start blaming on the software or autopilot? If the driver hasn't done that, I'd be willing to give him/her a fair shake.
@GordonJohnson19@aelluswamy Why lead you to think the system failed? That's like blaming the gun when an idiot took it and lost control and start shooting people.
@mikepat711 Pretty sure it wasn't even FSD, but autopilot. Tesla renamed AP to self-driving because stupid lawsuit. They should pick a better name to decrease confusion.
@msawyer91@Tesla I don't mind if there's no one next to me. I rather be safe than sorry. Although it used to dodge tire marks/shadows and thought they were potholes. Not sure if it's fixed, that's way more annoying to me.
@XgottaX@DuusLukas@Tesla_AI@teslaeurope I don't know what's the rule over there, it's either you yield or you don't yield. In the usa, you yield if there's incoming cars. FSD should've yielded unless rules are different over there. It's supervised, if collision happens, the owner is to blame.
@DirtyTesLa That's why I don't use fish eyed lens, luckily in mine I have the option to switch to the other view. I can't even backup properly with that stretched view.
