@kylekuzma It’s not about being an AI business. It’s about using AI right . Ai is the commodity not the feature
Same way with the internet boom of 2000. Its not being an internet company its using the internet the right way
Do people realize if you connect into apps with MCP and you have active agents you can just take the agents into other softwares with you ??!! This just blew my mind . Pretty sure I’m not saying it right but I understand the potential
Making a new version of Elevation OS.
-Fully integrated APIs for my whole tech stack covering estimating to billing
-70 24/7 AI agents
-cutting my recurring overhead almost 60k for the year
Built in 51 calendar days but I think I’m about 70% there right now
A couple years ago I invested a lot of time and money to create a custom CRM for Elevation flooring.
After trying out many of the ones available in the market I realized that nothing was going to fit exactly what we needed. It was a huge endeavor at the beginning but as the build started I knew this would be a game changer for the business.
The software is where we make all of our cost sheets, purchase orders, work orders, submittal logs, warehouse a management and financial tracking of each project.
Before the software I used to see people talking about how starting a custom software is stupid , but now after making the software my cost to manage the servers is only what I pay for. Once the busy season is over I will hop back into this software and really make the round 2 of upgrades.
The key here is that once you commit to running a business on a software you need as much control as possible. After you bake your business into a crm these companies raise the price on you crazy or they charge by user which adds up quick. Now our cost is flat and when Elevation does 100 M a year this cost will be minuscule
Applying new tech in old fashion businesses is the way
With our new crm we are upgrading Elevation Flooring into the $20-50M category.
People who know me know the obsession I had over the $10M number, but now it’s time for bigger things
Making a new CRM is not a new thing, I will never forget the power the programmers had over the speed of the project and how I had to pay for every feature and it was death trying to get them to understand my processes.
People say vibe coding is dumbing but the trade off between relying on some random to understand your biz and moving at light speed that’s takes alittle more troubleshooting is 100% worth it .
Having customers interact with AI is the single stupidest thing you can do
Use AI to free up your employees and let them spend all their time going above and beyond for every single customer. A direct line to an informed human
@prudesplande@JaredDHardin Govt makes you sign a contract that limits your margin.. even months after your done they will request invoices and audit your mark up. Some work is real hard to do and really not worth the 10% profit
