@StickmanSham on PC? fuck I will lmao
but realistically that already exists, sole ownership does not exist right now with physical copies. I think a properly backed up, DRM free, digital library is way closer to real ownership than owning a bunch of PlayStation discs
correct me if I'm wrong idk anything about ff and especially not it's chronologically, but is this not a remake of a game from 1999
and it still takes 2 discs?
@StickmanSham I just don't think that *physical* aspect is that important or practical. even you suggested SSDs as an alternative. no problem with discs, I just can't expect companies to use an outdated method without much of a market
@StickmanSham and again I'm pretty anti DRM, I have no issue reissuing or making copies after the fact, but I don't think physical storage is like the end all for this shit, especially when there isn't much of a market for it
@StickmanSham ok but if we're installing off the disc to local storage then you aren't really playing it off the disc no?
that's more to my point, the physical copies don't do anything but drive up price for releases to install a game just as good as any digital marketplace would
@ohhnostorm@adranelyne@DroidUnderscore who cares though. your problem is the DCV and renegades, not the 4 random cosmetics you won't buy anyway.
are people really that upset at that?
@StickmanSham what are you talking about dude
talking about modern games running on discs and your example is a remake that takes up multiple discs. don't know if that proves your point really
fair enough though didn't realize blu ray discs were so large, I still don't think that solves it
@DroidUnderscore@ohhnostorm@adranelyne honestly I'm not even saying those people didn't exist or they're wrong, just that it wasn't anywhere near significant enough to cause the game to fail completely
mind you it survived with eververse for 12 years(?)
