When volunteers built our new shelter just a few years ago, we did not expect the City of West Des Moines would move their fireworks display to our front door.

ADOPTING-all animals housed at the shelter can be adopted for $25 through July 3 to get them home before this happens

Rainy days are for the playing with the kitties, and our girl Lucy is getting more and more playful as she continues her weight loss journey. Stop by the shelter to get some rainy day kitty cuddles between 2 and 8 today, and maybe take home a new friend for those rainy nights.

We always try to get the best pictures of the animals we can. But sometimes the animals would rather play then pose, and the pictures might turn out a little derpy. And Lizette just so happens to be the queen of derp.
