Claude Opus 5 wrote bass MIDI for FuruBass twice — same prompt, with and without the spec sheet. Straight into the DAW, nothing edited by hand.

Finger, then slap.

I asked three AI models to write bass MIDI for my Kontakt library.

62% of the notes Opus wrote would not have sounded. Sonnet, 67%.

So I wrote a spec sheet for AI agents. Key layout, velocity thresholds, playing constraints — in a form a machine can read.

After that: zero.
