He doesn't want to stop, but Miyuki's too willful to convince. Furuya pouts to himself as he goes to fetch the ball.
When he returns, he keeps staring at the bat.
"Miyuki-senpai's good at everything."
— He doesn't know what strategy to use against a prodigy. It wouldn't be like him either. Ah. Be unpredictable.
If he expects a fastball, then... Furuya pitches a forkball instead, not quite sure why it helps (but he remembers Miyuki making him throw them).
Furuya catches the annoyance in Miyuki's eyes. Scoffs.
This is practice for Miyuki-senpai. The fact that he even hit the ball... shouldn't he be happier about that?
He thinks for a moment, wondering what sign Miyuki would give him. Another low toss? Right down the middle? —
At least a double, he thinks. And no runners on base either. Furuya chases the ball down and jogs back to the mound.
As much as he loves fastballs... the third one is going to be a splitter!
Furuya runs after the jammed ball, jogging back to the mound after he's grabbed it. It's nice to receive praise.
He's in a good mood now. Winding back, he launches another fastball at Miyuki and watches to see where this one goes.
Senpai's worrying about his digestion... Furuya blushes at the concern, wishing he could say that he doesn't have stomach problems.
"I'll be fine by the time we reach the field." A light walk will help.
