Twelve things everyone seems to have forgotten about me:
1. I'm a fragile soul, pretending to be strong, but secretly drowning in my own tears
2. I've learned to let go of people, because they always leave anyway
There’s a particular kind of heartbreak when the person your nervous system used to run towards becomes the person your nervous system is now bracing itself against.
Sometimes I think the hardest part isn’t losing a person. It’s watching them slowly become someone else, while you’re still in love with who they used to be.
It’s 6:25 AM. Can’t sleep, so I started rereading an old chat, and somehow it managed to kill me all over again. Some days, I feel like I should delete everything, but I can never gather enough courage to actually do it.
Now I read those same chats and wonder where that person went.
The words are still there, but the feeling isn’t.
It’s strange how someone can still be in your life and yet feel so far away from the version of them you fell in love with.
