The participants in @JWJParkJax's Art In The Park Chalk Drawing Competition don't need this rain. Luckily, the weather looks much better for this Saturday from Noon to 5pm when dozens of local artists compete to see whose chalk drawing comes out on top!

The confederate statue in #HemmingPark was removed overnight. @WJCTJax partner @wjxt4 reports it was removed by city crews.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: The bronze topper of the Confederate monument in Jacksonville's Hemming Park is now gone, as is the nameplate. It was taken away in the early morning hours Tuesday by crews without warning.
