Abu Tha’labah al-Khushani narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Ahead of you are days of patience, during which patience will be like grasping a burning coal. The one who does good deeds at that time will have a reward equal to the reward of fifty men who perform actions like his."
The Companions asked:
Malik ibn Dinar:
"If it were possible for me to never sleep, I would not sleep, out of fear that punishment would descend while I am unaware.
If only I knew what my ultimate condition will be when my flesh is consumed by the earth, and my bones are left decayed in the dark of the grave."

1. What are the names of the two angels who will question the people in the grave?
Never let your mind tell you that your request is "too much" for the Creator of the universe.
The Prophet ﷺ reminded us of the absolute, unmatched abundance of our Lord:
"The right hand of Allah is full, and its fullness is not diminished by any expenditure... Do you see what He has spent since He created the heavens and the earth? Yet, all that has not decreased what is in His Right Hand."
[al-Bukhari 7411]
"I do not carry the worry of acceptance, but rather I carry the worry of making Du’a. If I am inspired to make Du’a, then acceptance will come with it,"
-[Al-Fawa'id]
They knew that the very act of being guided to pray is a sign that an answer was on the way. Even when answers seemed delayed.
We’ve all had those moments where we stop ourselves from asking for something big because it feels "too unrealistic." But the word "impossible" is a human concept, not a divine one.
A reminder on why we need to stop limiting our Du'as:
🧵
It takes just a few seconds to utter, feels incredibly light on the tongue, and usually masquerades as "just venting" or "catching cruise."
Yet, in the sight of Allah, backbiting (Ghibah) is a major sin that tears down the spiritual wall of our communities from the inside out.
In Surah Al-Hujurat (49:12), Allah uses some of the most graphic, stomach-turning imagery in the entire Quran to describe this act:
“...And do not backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it.”
Why a dead brother? Classical scholars point out a profound parallel:
A corpse cannot defend itself, push back, or clarify its stance. When we speak ill of someone in their absence, they are completely defenseless against our words. Just as our physical nature instantly recoils at the thought of cannibalism, our spiritual nature should naturally freeze at the thought of damaging another person's reputation.
The biggest trap we fall into is thinking, "But what I'm saying is actually true, so it’s not backbiting!"
The Prophet ﷺ directly corrected this misconception in a famous narration. He asked his companions,
‘Amr ibn ‘Utbah used to ride his mount out to the graveyards in the middle of the night.
He would stand before the graves, look out over them, and cry out to himself:
@Amiina_cares Ngl, I'd rather resign than to continue working there, because I can't handle seeing him on a daily basis knowing such an embarrassing thing happened 🫠
I was standing in line at a coffee shop when the guy in front of me suddenly turned around and said,
"Hey, aren't you Rose?"
I said no.
He stared at me..
I stared at him..
Then he said, "Wow. You look exactly like Rose."
Normal conversation, right?
Wrong.
Because instead of leaving it there, he spent the next five minutes telling me stories about Rose.
Rose had apparently borrowed money from him.
Rose was always late.
Rose once disappeared for three days and came back with a tattoo.
By the time he finished, I knew more about Rose than some of my actual friends.
Then came the worst part.
A woman walked into the shop, saw me, and immediately shouted,
"Rose!"
The guy beside me pointed at me and said, "See?!"
I said, "I'm not Rose."
She stopped.
Looked confused and then embarrassed.
Then said, "Oh my God, you really aren't."
Now all three of us were standing there awkwardly.
The guy finally got his coffee and left.
The woman apologized and left.
And I thought that was the end of it.
Ten minutes later, the barista handed me a drink.
I told her I hadn't ordered anything.
She said, "Rose paid for it through the app before she got here."
To this day, I have no idea who Rose is.
But she owes somebody money, has questionable life choices, and accidentally bought me coffee.
I hope she's doing okay. 😭☕️
