MOUSE: P.I. For Hire's physical copies will not require an internet connection to play the game.
If you insert the disc/cartridge into an offline PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or Nintendo Switch 2, the game will be playable.
If your console is connected to the internet, the latest update will be downloaded, which we recommend in order to install the latest quality of life improvements, bug fixes, and more.
We hope you enjoy your time in Mouseburg 🐭
man, i wish i never trusted the digital age.
I had been buying playstation games for years digitally.
building my library.
Now all this shit is happening with sony and what can I really do? lol
without a plus sub, most of the games i got for “free” get locked and that’s actually large part of my library.

Sony picked the worst time to piss everyone off, now everyone wants to cancel PS Plus along with GTA6 pre-orders and avoiding Wolverine🚀
Just when people are hyped for GTA6 and Wolverine, and have secured a wild marketing deal with Rockstar, betting on “Plays Best on PS5” to sell their Slim and Pro units, they drop this bomb of wanting to end physical games.
What were they thinking, especially so early? Fear of leaks? Testing the waters so they can see if it will slide or not?
In either case
✅KEEP THE PRESSURE
✅Don’t by digital, only physical discs
✅Comment everywhere demanding reversal of the decision against physical games
We got this!💪🏼😎
According to Sony and many publishers, you don’t own your disc, you never did. Their terms can still restrict access or revoke licenses.
That’s why we fight for consumer law: physical media was one of the last limits on this control.
You will own nothing and be happy.
For too long we’ve succumbed to the giants’ ways.
We cheered as physical shelves disappeared. We accepted “you don’t buy games, you license access.” Now they plan to take our only form of ownership away.
Physical discs. This kills an entire Market of used games and resale for future generations.
I’m 30 years old. I’ve been with playstation, xbox, nintendo, since I started gaming and they became available to me.
This is the first time I’ve ever thought “No More”.
the first time i’ve considered to stop supporting Playstation.
& This isn’t just about Sony.
Microsoft can revoke access to your entire library if they decide an account violated terms. Nintendo has shuttered legacy stores, delisted games, and threatened device functionality over terms violations. Even Steam, while better than most, still operates under licenses they control.
We no longer own the games we paid for. We rent pixels at their mercy.
One account ban, one policy shift, one server shutdown and years of collecting, memories, and hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars can vanish.
We were told this was progress. Convenience.
The future.
But ownership is being quietly erased.
The giants didn’t take our games by force.
We handed them over, one digital purchase at a time.
It’s time to remember what ownership actually means.
Support physical when you can. Support DRM-free platforms like @GOGcom. Archive what you love. Vote with your wallet.
Because if we don’t push back now, the only games we’ll truly own in the future… are the ones we make ourselves.

Sony overestimated their value and thought that they’re immune from all consequences and that somehow they can do whatever and players will come around🚀
✅Wasting talent on GaaS no one wanted
✅Risk-averse development of same 4 IPs
✅Little to no innovation
✅Raising prices
✅Shutting down beloved studios
✅Underwhelming output for a whole gen
✅Attempting to end physical games, second market, options/competition in pricing and player ownership of games
Normally I support paying more for value, but where is that value? Most of their games play the same, feel the same, recycle the same IPs and hardly feel innovative, and it took you over 3 years to start releasing games exclusive to this generation, and they weren’t even that special.
And now it’s like the mask has fallen off and the greed has become so shameless in the name of “evolution”, a narrative that you engineered on lies and data manipulation.
Enough is enough
We shouldn’t be worshiping corporations like a cult, justifying all their shortcomings, and turning against each other.
We need to look out for our best interest.
NO DISC. NO BUY💿
@PlayStation There’s no reason to stay with PlayStation anymore.
After more than 30 years with Sony, I’m switching to PC.
With no physical games, there isn’t a single valid reason to stay with PlayStation instead of buying a PC.
Sony has officially killed its own appeal.
PC has won.
