@itsme_urstruly Watch how much stuff is considered "sentimental" vs how much gets donated to thrift stores after death and you will see just how little our possessions are worth. Buy experiences not things.
@JoshPhillipsPhD Very unfortunate a percentage of the population & politicians (many of whom do not even have children) are banning books. Maybe if they actually read books they would understand they are the danger to society, not books.
@elonmusk@theallinpod No it won't. The gov. is too corrupt. Trump claimed to want to reduce the debt too, and he has spent $11.2T in 1.5 yrs so far. DOGE cut $215B. Guess what the democrats will do when they win? Spend Trillions to undue what the republicans & Trump did. We'll be at $50T in no time.
@NotA_Bull Not investing regularly. Look at your friend's or coworkers. Then look at who invested regularly and who didn't and their net worth. You will see a clear and stagering difference.
@sltrib Personal freedom. If you don't want to shop on sunday, don't do it. Goes for any action in your life. Do not expect the rest of society to change their behaviors or tailor society to your personal beliefs.
@goodreads Never finished Rise & Fall of the Third Reich. One of the most boring books ever, which is saying something considering it covers WWII/nazi Germany, one of the most interesting historical periods ever.
@googlemaps Gulf of Mexico, Lake Ontario. Much like Germany attempted to rename places when they had a tyrannical leader, your company will go down in history as having sided with a populist leader. They will all go back to their historical names once the leader is gone.
@DividendBandit@SCHDaccumulator Where did you get $7K per month from $10M in SCHD? $10M at 3.5% is $350K per year. Or a quarterly dividend of $87,500 (or split monthly, $29,166 per month).
@antibearthesis Biggest mistake people make is not investing in themselves. Eating healthy & exercising. Who cares if you have $1M if you only live to 50? Fresh food is as cheap as junk food, cheaper actually. And a gym membership is $10-30/mo. Invest in yourself not just your bank account.
@MsVeilMoney Because recessions are followed by job loss. If you happen to keep a high paying job then this works great. For all the people who get laid off and take years to recover, it’s not an “opportunity”.
@antibearthesis Considering 50% of people don’t invest at all, and about the same number have less than $1000 in emergency savings, yes. The answer is yes.
@GrahamStephan Bogle’s research and passive index investing were groundbreaking because he showed indexing beats the majority of actively managed funds and traders—who charge high fees trying to beat the market. Even worse you posted this while knowing that.
@T3chFalcon So why don't large scale models from all the big AI companies and email providers just sweep for those characters or confirm any links put in an email? Seems like we have the technology to easily screen for and fix this before it would ever reach the end user.
@CNBC No degree is worth $100,000 per year. Most aren't even worth $100,000 total. College and graduate school should be less than what you will make as your annual salary.
@drp825_ Get a higher paying job. Saving 10% of $150K salary is the same as saving 30% of $50K a year salary. Being poor makes it harder to save, having higher incomes make it easier.
