Forecasting and trendspotting for the international and intersectional music biz. Social-justice ally. #BLM#MMIW#HeForShe – Account on pause due to pandemic.
Great question @Thejollofdiary! One way of figuring this is by identifying target audiences – what specific artistic elements create that emotional connection with these demographics and why? Those elements are an artiste's USP and branding foundation. #Artiste#branding
@slimcarti__@TayeOlusola Depends on budget, whether you record live stuff and also personal preference. If you record instruments, room treatment may be key. A soundcard's AD/DA converters are one of the biggest determiners of sound quality. Look up blogs/forums that deal with these pointers. #musicgear
Additional benefit may be that everyone who participates get inspired and take on a can-do mind frame – that's extra important in times like these! Stay safe and keep positive. 🙏 #FocusGroup#GoodVibes
Great inspiration @TEGAMAVIN! Every major crisis also creates longterm opportunities. Music firms that can take a little time now to analyse innovative openings may emerge with a relative advantage later on. #staypositive#musicindustry
Might be as simple as setting aside 20-30 min for a cross-functional focus group to brainstorm crisis-specific opportunities and positive outcomes. Prepping a task-relevant PESTEL beforehand may get the creativity flowing. #PESTEL#opportunities
Great @Amp keynote! @UMusicuk CEO David Joseph referenced these @midiaresearch insights and will also make UMG's neuro-diversity handbook available via @AnnieMac's event webpage – check it out! #AMPLondon#UMG
"In the world of video streaming, discovery remains a major challenge – no matter how much new content on a platform, old reruns like Friends and The Office (US) tend to be the heaviest hitters in terms of viewing hours and fandom."

@susan_yeah Great first @Amp talk! 🙂 Many interedting points, e.g. team-based work facilitate better maternity leaves and educational initiatives grow talent pipelines with female musicians further down the line. #anniemac#AMP
@heisdiggles A Swedish uni has a 2-year distance learning degree in music & sound design, incl. business courses. Costs almost 10,000,000 NGN per year for non-EU students, but there are scholarships to apply for that cover 75% of fees. Info here if anyone's interested: https://t.co/mFk51Ra3w3
@Thejollofdiary Newsflash @musicbizworld: Spotify tried to cut songwriter pay, now they offer exposure! Should you ever work for exposure? @GuardianEdu writes "only do it if it’s for your mum"

Young musician about to sign a deal? Check this @GraceLaDoja advice – many experienced music lawyers are just one tweet away! 🔥🌟🔥 #metallicinc#musiclaw
My only advice to young musicians coming up is do not sign any agreements with management or labels without getting a lawyer to read it first, if you can’t afford a lawyer, ask family and friends failing that ask me! Sick of young talent getting screwed over.
