@_JoeAlexanderr Agreed.
Tactically he's being given the freedom Hazard was, with (so far at least) none of the output
He's pleasing to watch, but considering we've too many forwards as it is, and the allowances we'd need to make to accommodate him... It doesn't seem worth it to keep him.
@CoonenWill @NoLayingUp@gregsdua @KylePorterCBS I mean that was literally the pitch.
But if you're enjoying watching the professional sport get torn apart and turned into a jumped up exhibition, please don't let me detract from that.
I'm glad someone's enjoying this at least.
@CoonenWill @NoLayingUp@gregsdua @KylePorterCBS The 'PGL model' would feature the best players in the world, not a cavalcade of 40-something has-been's who took a fat payday to shill for a murderous regime ๐
@FootballCliches Not necessarily iconic, but I can vividly remember Andy Gray exclaiming that "Michael Essien saw that top drawer wide open, and he put the goal right in there!"...
But I can't find a clip of it anywhere
@grantdesmidt I know more recently hes been utilised in different positions to plug gaps, but it is odd how many different managers have viewed his best positions differently.
I want to say Hodgson played him LM for a spell at Palace too but I might be misremembering
@GraceOnFootball@FalguniGhosh17 Completely agree, 3 CBs behind him and Kante next to him make up for his defensive shortcomings, whilst the wingbacks and front 3 occupy defenses giving him time on the ball and plenty of options.
The system suits him but he's still fairly limited in terms of his skillset
