Hexagon detection using the Hough transform.
In figure 5 you see r theta space with 3 peaks of pi/3 offset, and equivalent peaks in the negative r for lines on the other side of the hexagon.
It detects whether there are peaks with the expected offsets, and fills pixels inside.

The maximum input size of #ChatGPT is quite large, it can summarize entire chapters at once. But sadly the nondescript error messages do not make it clear if your input was too large or something else went wrong.
