BREAKING: Ukrainian drones have just struck Russia's Perm oil refinery this morning, one of the country's largest and one of six refineries that together produce about half of Russia's diesel, with the refinery now on fire.
This comes as the US, the world’s largest diesel exporter, is preparing a 90-day export ban that Trump is inclined to announce by the end of the week. Russia, the second largest, already halted theirs.
🇯🇵 JAPANESE FINANCE MINISTER ON THE YEN COLLAPSE:
"We stand ready to take appropriate action whenever necessary”
The Japanese yen continues to slide, falling to ¥162.40 per US dollar.
Japan burned a record $72.5 BILLION defending the currency just weeks ago, but every single gain has now been erased, piling pressure on the BoJ to intervene.

The western border runs between the tip of Qeshm Island and the UAE's Umm Al Quwain, in the south, between Mount Mubarak and south of Fujairah.

Note: SIMD-0411 includes a 6 month grace period which might delay the approval to mid 2026.

I recently discussed banning stock trading for Members of Congress, and it seems to have unsettled some people—which is exactly the reaction I was hoping for. This discomfort signals that it’s time to act. As soon as we return, I plan to push for a discharge petition to move this issue forward. There’s no excuse for why this hasn’t been addressed already. Frankly, if others want to take the lead on this, they’re welcome to, but I won’t sit idly by while members of Congress trade stocks, especially those on committees with direct influence over relevant industries. That’s corruption at its core, and it needs to stop.
