a man of unknown origin & kin - only known as ‘ The Joker ’ emerged to Gotham City as a brutal serial killer in the early 2000s. his victims would be of all ages, sex, and gender, but women were the most common prey. frequent abductions, and then gore decorated brutalisation scenes the police inevitably discovered when the clown had finished his work.

his victim count was fifty seven at the time The Batman finally had found him & thus the two contrasting souls met for the first time.
after the dark knight decorated the clowns neatly makeup caked face with brutal strikes that left his head dripping of blood - he dragged him to prison where he sat in boredom surrounded by bars.

after three years, joker decided his imprisonment had become even more sour and slow than usual - and thus used his master intellect to escape via the sewer system of the facility.

one of his first visits after breathing in air of freedom was to one of his very few associates, The Dollmaker - a fellow serial killer & surgeon that upon jokers request fully cut off his face. joker had decided a new look was necessary as he felt rebirthed after years away. his restricted bloodlust was like a barking beast inside him determined to be released and feed on innocence.

gone was his bright purple and green suit, joker now wore a mechanic outfit that was stolen from the clowns first victim upon escaping prison. he wore it by pure convenience to change from his prisoner attire, but he quite liked the atheistic. plus the nametag read JOE - which joker neatly with his pinky and the blood of the deceased mechanic added the letters ‘ K E R’ to. in addition to the appearance, joker was fond of the series of tools on the utility belt, and what bloodshed they could entail.

but of course, the most notable change to his appearance was his now restapled mask of his own cut off face, dawning a new haunting appearance.
