@Hawsface Is it stale form? Only 6 months ago he toweled up our best horses off the exact same set up and ran a rating most of these could dream of, Blind Raise by a derby winner, mare goes back to stamina blood, was right there after being pestered up front Guineas. Gets a cart now.
2026 Cox Plate, to tell you the truth the race this year feels a little underwhelming. No real mixture of form lines, a couple just having a pipe opener for the Cup. Would have taken $6.00 Warwoven, too short now. Alieana's Melb ratings hold her back. This seems a perfect 1/2.
@Rory_Flanagan You agree that there are others that bring similar strength of ratings into the race though? I am surprised those 3 were as dominant over the locals as they were. He also would have been pretty screwed down, initial target was Caulf Cup.
@SEvans1990 I prefer the euros to not have a run, not just check out the winners but those that have run a place. A horse like Marmelo was much better fresh than the year he had a run.
Point Of Law opens a can of worms for me. Excellent run yesterday, was so impressive. But I feel that some of the others at Werribee bring better form. Also the fact as a very young horse who has had his runs spaced at 34 days, 33 days, 22 Days, 104 Days (1/2)
@tmase04 Champions Day actually looks like being Champions day this year. Would love to see the Cox Plate winner (whoever it is) back up again. Just need to get Sheza Alibi there as well.
@AndrewNJHawkins I think you right, my thoughts.
Birdman I think goes 2000m last day
Strictly Business terribly out of form
Royal Supremacy Jaimie hinted he may not stay, Caulf run underwhelming
Onesmoothoperator- Out Of form
Klondike- Just found out from you spelling
I think 1 of Vauban Aeliana
(2/2) he is now asked to back that performance up or improve on it in 13 days time. But the form lines from yesterday bring likes of Hopewell Rock, Defiantly, Trustyourinstinct and now even Kizlyar right into calculations. Take note that was Joseph's 2nd string/ improving types.
@NoverreMan@adrian_giuliano Yep, but have any tried to win the Cup after a prior start as a 3yo? I cannot think of any that have attempted it off the top of my head.
@ThePastaLabAU I use a combination of things. I use GTX software with my own ratings built in for my day to day form and ratings. I use this product Toprate when I put my ratings public as it's a neater presentation. If I was starting out, I would pay the @TRBHorseRacing Toprate subscription.
@SmokinJo21 Yep, rapid pace probably helped. I actually thought he would want it wetter and further. If they get him into that 2800m race Cup week he might put a margin on them.
If Small Fry can win his way into the Melbourne Cup he gives himself a massive chance, completely different formlines to most that get brought out, coming through the grades in decent size fields and genuine tempos. Loves fast tracks, see out the trip plus sharp enough.
