@Remiireee I've always favored the idea that the structures in the game should give visual inspiration to players and show them creative ways that the blocks can be used.
I figure it's only fare that I give an alternative build option with my critique, so here it is. Since it's verified that they're adding slabs and stairs and we have the full block, then why not use them all. and yes, it's very easy to enter/exit.
@PuppygirlOzura I'm sure there is a lot that will get tweaked, and being a Marketplace partner I know first hand that they listen to community notes, [Sulfur Cube TNT] that's why it's good to make constructive criticism post about what they're working on, as long as you're respectful about it.
@GarbageAtTW yes, that would be a dumb argument. So it's good that I was making a builders critique about the visual quality of the structure as compared to real tents, and not about the physics of it. but I apricate the meme!
@lephten1 exactly, I'd had just seen another community members modify this exact Pillager tent with the wool stairs in this configuration and it looks much better. especially if you use a mix of full block, stairs, and slabs, all of which are being added.
@AzelfDaGirl just like the real tent, you walk through either side of the pole, if the fence was in the center and the structure was built centered but just one block taller, then there would still be a door way on either side.
To be clear this was more of a statement on the visual quality/consistency of the structure from an build perspective, and not about the game physics or whatever other nonsense y'all are on about in these comments. Obviously Minecraft is a fantasy sand box game with no real physics to speak of, but that doesn't mean a structure can't be light heartedly critiqued by a fan of the game.
It's exciting to see that Mojang were willing to drastically change the color of the grass for this biome. The tinting function has so many fun color possibilities, it's nice to see it actually be used for a color other than multiple shades of green.
@Cristiano@Herbalife24 I'm surprised I don't see any major comments clocking this as an AI advertisement. So we're clear, I don't care, but I'm just so use to the AI sleuths filling the replies. [pay close attention to the bag and the zipper]
I Very Much agree! I do believe in Slop, but AI doesn't automatically equal Slop, it's all about the story teller and their commitment to quality. A member of our team recently made this video for their personal YouTube page and it was actually quite eye opening to me, and obvious that [Redacted] really put a lot of heart into it. https://t.co/EVuyAgvWJ1
One Issue I see with this statement is that I feel it unintentionally separate creators / mod developers into a different class from players but in truth we should be treating them as one and the same, especially with hytale. This game from the start has been highly advertised and obviously developed with creators in mind in a way that gives a path for almost any player to become a creator. And looking at it through that lense as a "creator player" to enter an officially supported ingame mod page and see multiple creators posts that obviously have a lot of work behind them but no way for the creator to be paid for their work, it will feel like the game is saying yeah we will use your hard work as a point of sale for the game but not actually support the creator for their work beyond giving them extra ingame cosmetics. I know you don't mean it that way, but that's how it feels speaking as a player/creator myself.
Personally, looking up close at the official HD renders that have been released by Pixar, I have a sneaking suspicion that there is a new experimental neural rendering system involved. basically the animation textures and models are all created through the traditional methods but the final frame rendering uses a neutral network with task specific training to render frames faster than is possible with traditional rendering, but it can have the trade-off of subtle artifact-ing that can cause odd patterns in motion blur and in dense precise texture like text, fabric on Jessies hat, and so on. Obviously I have no proof for this besides my own knowledge of these technologies and what their results usually look like. I'm not attempting to make false claims, just figured I would throw this thought out there. I actually don't mind it, if true, as it would continue a tradition of Pixar using the toy story films to develop cutting-edge tech to tell new stories.
