These outdoor grounds are also supposed to have been used in fostering a spirit of health and outdoorsmanship into adulthood. Pictured are a series of German-American athletes, including one sent to the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin (swept by Germany.)
The former Camp Nordland in Andover, New Jersey. The German American Bund owned a number of properties for communal gathering and children's camp activities.
No investigation to the likely contribution played by a longstanding collusion of the GA Bund's Jewish persecutors in congress such as Nathan Perlman with Jewish organized criminals such as Meyer Lansky, was ever made.

Gayops are nothing new! George Froboese, the Midwest leader of the German American Bund and final acting National leader, died in an alleged suicide on June 16, 1942 by stepping in front of a train. Froboese had repeatedly declared an intention to fight the violation of rights 1/
mistreatment, and suspicious circumstances following other leaders of the GA Bund! A war veteran and seasoned activist, allegations that Froboese chose death in face of trial despite a public demeanor of vigor for his rights, ring preposterous then as now. 2/
Though innumerable attempts at the suppression of Bundists' First Amendment rights were made, one notable example would be the "Battle of Yorkville Casino" in which Jewish groups openly professed their intention to deny the civil liberties of the Bund and were ejected by the OD.
Then as now, a common suppression tactic of the Zionist empire was the use of street thugs to instigate self-defense scenarios for Bundists as a basis for legal quagmire. The Bund's answer to this was something of an American SA in the Ordnungsdienst (Order Division, or "OD.")
Though wrong, repurposing to public property is the lesser of evils as it has clearly identified the historical land. Camp Nordland is the only Bund location I've been able to track to a certainty (unlike others, posted later, for which I've had to rely on hints and speculation)

The property was stolen and repurposed by the US government following a series of selective legal and political persecutions that ran the Bund defunct.
Credit for the picture is to Scott Freeland's exceptional historical account: "They Too Were Americans." I anticipate I will rely heavily upon his work in posting to this account.
The first official such expression of this was the Chicago Teutonia Club, founded in 1924 by men of former Freikorps experience. The group promoted German culture, honor, & friendly political relations between the US and Germany. By 1932, its membership was approximated at 500.
The beginning of National Socialist thought in America is often traced to the Freikorps: a post-WWI street paramilitary defending the honor and traditions of prewar Germany. During the tumult of 1918-1923, some 400,000 Germans emigrated to America, many with Freikorps experience.
