#Plastic vs. #Aluminimum - which is the lesser evil?
Besides assessing the full life-cycle of the material, global and local factors have to be taken into consideration. These factors would undeniably affect the feasibility of alternatives.

Kabadiwallas (private aggregators) are of critical importance to #wastemanagement & #recycling in #India & other countries. Recognize & thank the millions of people helping to manage plastic waste and keep it out of our environment with this livelyhood. #ExpeditionPlastic

Collaboration among businesses, government and citizens is the key to move further ahead, together. The challenge now lies in how we can make that happen, spoken by our Chief Business Officer Sumangali Krishnan at the @GlobalIniaitves Responsible Business Forum 2019.
More than half of the 8 million metric tons of plastic that flow into the ocean every year come from these developing countries in Southeast Asia, where waste management has lagged behind rapid economic growth. New @GACircular report offers solutions. https://t.co/DfQMJzZH4Y
The @GACircular report highlights the need for a shift in the approach to driving circularity of PET #bottles in Southeast Asia. https://t.co/rUkuuHJPmD

Fun fact about PET bottles💡
They are (1) 100% recyclable and (2) one of the highest intrinsic post-consumer values 💲 amongst other consumer-goods packaging materials in #SoutheastAsia🌏
It's for this reason that PET bottles are one of the most commonly collected items by the informal sector for #recycling. In fact, 97% of all PET collected for recycling in the 9 cities GA Circular has studied, are by the informal sector. ☝️
With support by GA Circular, the PRO focuses on driving recycling for collection through value creation mechanisms that will improve livelihoods and create further job opportunities for stakeholders working in the post-consumer packaging industry.
A step closer towards driving a #circulareconomy for post-consumer packaging in #Indonesia 🇮🇩. A joint initiative has been announced by PRAISE members to establish a PRO (Packaging Recycling Organisation)🤝
