We are the voice of Georgia's current and former foster youth effectively and meaningfully involved in child welfare issues as decision makers and advocates!
The Georgia Youth Opportunities Initiative (GYOI) is a collaborative effort between public, private and non-profit organizations, working to improve outcomes for youth transitioning out of foster care.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
As National Foster Care Month comes to a close, Georgia EmpowerMEnt thanks all the people who impacted our lives. We thank our families, our mentors, our supporters, our friends, our peers. (1/3)
#nationalfostercaremonth#GAEPC#thankyou
(2/3) However, as this month comes to an end, we are reminded that we can never stop thanking. Our work to change the system for the better does not end here. We hope that, perhaps, as we advocate for those who experience the system after us, that they will thank us.
WE’RE BACK! Leave a comment below thanking someone who impacted your experience as a current/former foster youth. We’ll feature your responses in a special video premiering THIS SUNDAY!
